Hana wa Saku ka
(on vol 2 so far) I feel like we're being TOLD that the main leads like each other, but we don't really see WHY or what it is they like about one another. I hope this will be fleshed out later on. Also seems unrealistic that for the classmate to be allowed to move in that easily under such unusual circumstances esp since the caretaker is usually protective about his steward. This event seemed contrived in order to allow for a love triangle.
Anemone no Shishuu
very interesting and different. has a western feel to it. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.
Koi to wa Yobenai
I enjoyed the first two volumes, but the love polygon in the third volume made me seriously scream at the manga - Junpei, you moron! The misunderstanding was completely unnecessary and seemed to be added just for the sake of manufactured drama. All of it could have been easily resolved within minutes if Junpei had just TALKED to Ei. ARGH!!!
Not Equal
I was disappointed with this manga, especially after reading the very strong reviews it had on bakaupdates. There didn't seem to be much logic behind the actions of the characters, nor did I find them to be very believable. This may be because of the generally poor quality of the translation, however. Perhaps there was a lot lost in the translation.
Mars (SOURYO Fuyumi)
Somehow, I tend to enjoy those things that I initially think I wouldn't enjoy at all, and this manga was one of them. I thought it would be some generic shoujo but it's actually so much more than that. I'm only 3 volumes in but I'm really enjoying it so far.
Guang Xiang
Sweet read. Read it in one sitting.
500-nen No Itonami
This was such a beautiful, beautiful story. The first time I read it, I found it to be a good, but not fantastic read. Somehow though, I enjoyed it even more after I reread it again a few more times and now I adore it. It greatly reminds me of Speilberg's film, "AI." MAKE SURE YOU READ THE DJ for the true ending of this story.
