Ayeshah's Secret
This is such a good read about a twisted family and the turmoil of past events. I was sucked right into the depressing Victorian world created by the artwork. Everyone in the house has secrets, including the main characters, who all have darker motivations than they initially appear to have. However, I believe this is a rather superficial way of conveying the message. At first, I wondered if there was some deeper significance to this. This novel’s presupposition of thriller, horror, and gothic genres makes it a favourite of mine in the remake. I just wished they delved into the eerie ways of thinking of family and other could be further elaborated on.
Bastard (hwang Youngchan)
If you didn't bother to read to the end, you'll have to put your faith in the inevitable process of coming to regret not reading that book and in the inevitable process of continuing to receive such good suggestions. Kim Carnby’s writing has consistently been brilliant and masterful.

Head Over Heels
What do you know, there are almost no sane teenagers in this story. One of them is slightly obsessed to the point of insanity, and the other is just as off their mind. It's okay though, there's at least some sane people that somehow helped me got through this story as well.
The Beast Must Die
Mutualistic relationship with a twist. Actually walked into this empty minded, and was met with a ton of surprises.
