if i could give this more stars i would ;-;
this was so beautifully tragic and made my soul ache. it wasn't a happily ever after for the couple, but rather a poetic and freeing ending well deserved after all the shit they've gone through. both battled against many demons and i couldn't help but empathize w/ alan who could never rly separate himself from god despite all the wrongs he's faced under the church (religious trauma go brazy)
also fuck the parents, maria, the priest, etc
