beautiful story, a happy ending, but also feels bittersweet??

sigh so i hated taehyun at first and was like "he's an actual psychopath how is he gonna he redeemable" but then they revealed his tragic backstory and issues/insecurities as to why he does what he does... however even after all that i still dont like him?? he rly made out daehyun/daeyeol(?) to be a gross guy to others and completely ruined his image... like beautiful story but i wish he suffered more

okay its cute and all but im not a fan of muyeong?? like all the drama w/ the best friend and the cheating was pretty toxic and i felt bad for seonho :-( had a good ending but all of that stuff rly turned me off

tw: child rape if i could give this more stars i would ;-; this was so beautifully tragic and made my soul ache. it wasn't a happily ever after for the couple, but rather a poetic and freeing ending well deserved after all the shit they've gone through. both battled against many demons and i couldn't help but empathize w/ alan who could never rly separate himself from god despite all the wrongs he's faced under the church (religious trauma go brazy) also fuck the parents, maria, the priest, etc

ugh another great read beautiful storytelling and a mature couple,,, also thought it was just gonna focus on one genre of unrequited love but the extra gang drama and crooked police made me me so invested,,, rly enjoyed it (-:

liked it enough to finish but i WILL complain about the 5 year absence like,,, they just used and then left ai no contact no explaination and fucked around in their little island until they decided they missed him :// i wished they redeemed themselves more (i wanted them to GROVEL, GROVEL I SAY)
