The storyline is well developed and drawing is good. It is a story of 2 girls in their 20’s of different social class pretend to be girlfriends so they can attend the Family’s Christmas Get together. Kathryn or “Ryn” is from a very affluent background. While Julia is from a middle class family where she has to works to support herself through school and taking care of her 2 younger siblings and helping out her step mom at her workplace. Ryn is shy, no confidence, and has low self esteem mainly due to the way her family members have been treating her. Julia is a smart, hard working, determination, and full of self confidence. Julia is trying to continue her schooling to have a better future for herself and her family. Ryn and Julia have the same class and become a partner in a project. Ryn offers to pay for her next semester in exchange for Julia pretending to be her girlfriend for her upcoming Christmas Family get together. With many twists and turns, the two helping each other realizing their true strength and potential. Ryn who is an openly gay starts having feeling for a straight Julia. While Julia starts realizing that she has always been different and is “possibly” gay. Julia starts having more feeling for Ryn. But both think that their feelings are not mutual. Also Julia feels guilty that she will disappoint her dad if she comes out gay and cannot marry a man have have a kid the way her dad has hoped her to be. Julia is trying to fit into Ryn’s family in hope that Ryn will grow out of her shell and be at her best. The more time they are spending together, the more they are falling for each other. I hope that they will confess to each other soon. Together they can overcome anything!
