Honestly this is a case of the manhua being a major improvement on the novel. The writers of the manhua have taken out some of the more cringe (in my opinion) behaviors and thoughts that the MC Raven engages in. There are several scenes just from the beginning that have been removed and it makes Raven far more likeable in my opinion. The novel is still a bit fun but the manhua is more tightly written. If I'm honest, Raven in the novel is more of a Chinese style protag. And in many ways I think this version is superior so far.
