Mr. Juicy's manga / #Historical(4)

Liebling!

Complete | Kim Nuruk | 2000 released

It’s crazy how much I actually liked it. It’s definitely not my usual cup of tea but the storyline was interesting and kept me hooked! I found myself smiling and crying for not just the main characters but also the side characters and that tells a lot about the quality of the work! My favourite scenes are when Leo splats himself on the ground, it’s so cute! Overall 10/10 would recommend, it’s very different than the usual BLs

Taming the Tiger

Complete | 오늘만 사는 형제,brothers without a tomorrow | 2019 released

Floored at how much I enjoyed reading this masterpiece from one of my favourite authors! Everything about the story was captivating - from the art to the conflict in the plot and up to the ending. Loved the side stories as well, gave just enough comfort to close the whole series.

Keeper of the Pearl

This is between a 4 to 4.5 stars for me tbh. It’s because the plot is cute (and the babies are adorableee) but what brings the score down is also the plot itself. How did the omega fall in love with the alpha so quickly after rejecting him so much in the beginning? And the whole thing about the jade, I just didn’t get it. But overall it was a decent read. Just had a few plot holes that I could close my eyes to tbh

Tale of the Yellow Dragon

Complete | Brothers Without A Tomorrow | 2000 released

Overall, I definitely felt like this was interesting. The plot is premised around Dojin who is brought/transported/reincarnated (i don’t even know the correct term to use) to another world and becomes an emperor. By his side is the Yellow Dragon who has apparently turned back time 20+ times to avoid Dojin from facing a horrible death. So yes, I’d say the plot was quite intriguing just had some questions that I felt weren’t properly addressed, ie what exactly happened when Yellow Dragon turned back time that caused Black Tortoise’s lover to disappear? Since the main villain was based on that plotline, I felt like it could have been explained a bit more. But I’d still give it 5 stars and a good recommendation for people to give it a try.
