A Flowery Path for the Devastated Male Lead
I love a strong female lead, like actually strong not second to the meal lead strong but equally strong or more so, she can hold her own and she has a goofy personality but in a lovable idiot kind of way and a bonus she is fairly masculine in what she wears and her personality at times too. Male lead is cute and strong and he doesnt say any of the cliche ‘im still a man’ weird shit, his actions match his personality, there arent moments where he doubts the fl strength that ridicule her abilities instead he trusts her but still shows concern in a way that doesn't feel shitty. Story wise it was interesting, could’ve definitely been more back story and character building for the ‘villians’, no one was truly evil. I like that it’s complete because often stories like these are ongoing and get dropped because the author works themselves to injury/health issues, so im glad there was an ending. It felt pretty short but i did enjoy that it was, so im not spending the next 10 years of my life reading one chapter a week, there was a lot of conspiracy and honesty hopelessly situations that felt like it would take forever to overcome because of how unknown everything was and then the villains kind of revealed themselves in a big way that got rid of people that caused the mc trouble and also isolating themselves in a way they could get picked off because no one was there to side with them. Overall id say 7/10, i dont ramble this often in reviews n stuff but its 2am and im bored
I Failed to Divorce My Husband
Master piece imo, art is great, story is great, ending is pretty good too, translation is great and the pages are clean (except chapter 95-99) over all enjoyed it, the male leads personality isnt some psycho that wants to manipulate everything behind the scenes so that his wife can never leave him and the main character is actually very smart and wouldnt have been one of those characters that gets trapped in a marriage because she has nothing to her name. They actually trusted each other and most issues are resolved within the next chapter which is great because misunderstandings are annoying when they drag out for 20 chapters. Oh and i usually hate the whole childhood crush thing that never goes away because male leads often try to come off childlike when theyre older so that they still receive skinship but in this case that didnt happen, their whole relationship actually made sense and they're both cute and equally jealous, havent felt this satisfied after finishing a manhua in months.
I Stole the Number One Ranker’s Soul
Loved this! The main character is a Female MC which is sooo fuckin cool btw, the romance of it was fairly simple and cute and not the main plot point. Main plot point was actually interesting and understandable as i read it and it didnt seem to be rushed at all. I think there could be more in an epilogue but meh idk the ending was still satisfying to me. Would 100% recommend, i recently read a modern/dungeon manhua with a female mc and it genuinely pissed me off so reading this has honestly made me so happy :D (Completed btw!)
The Young Lady is A Royal Chef
Dropped at chapter 110, there was an art change but it was at least equal and arguably better than the original so it was fine, the plot was still good too but after the second art style its become a simple, messy, boring as fuck story thats not even cute anymore. They completely ignore any love interests involved other than the prince, such as the prince from the other continent or the son from the enemy family and instead introduced the crown prince as the other princes’ rival which i dont care about at all and ruined the enemy’s son’s character and then dropped the plot line for the other continent. They prince’s personality also seitches with each art change, he originally was similar to her to take things as literal and not socially developed because he spent most of his tike in battle which was endearing especially because he said he doesn’t really understand humour or is humorous so him falling in love with her first because of essentially nothing didnt make sense especially cuz it happened after the first art change, he suddenly became overly jealous of if she was ever friends with men, as well as how they only just established their friendship and the mc never questioned her feelings in later chapters because if how many times this guy has tried to force her into a kiss. Not to mention that this was supposed to be about cooking and she’s supposed to be on a short vacation meanwhile she’s been in and out of only the emperors castle for the last 40 chapters AND i started this because of the familial relationships and seeing the misunderstandings get resolved as well as the story behind her mother, now its all about romance and essentially the prince’s bickering back and forth about the mc, way to make this story go from like a 4 to a 1, if i wanted to read a shitty story with mid art i’d look at the plethora of bullshit that already exists.
