I quite appreciate the story but there's still aspects that are missing; what happened to the 4 eyed guy, how do they resolve or find each other to relate & comfort one another or smth

I’m bawling out cause this is so good

I don’t get why people would rate this lowly. Rather than offering a simple romance, this story portrays a raw, intricate interplay between Heiner scarred by brutal experiences and Annette whose sheltered life and inherited privilege mask a deeper ignorance. Their behavior isn’t black and white but the tragic product of their respective upbringings, making their interactions simultaneously painful and compelling. I think that the author makes the us(readers) to confront uncomfortable truths about how trauma can warp love, identity, and power. The toxicity, in this light, isn’t there to glamorize abuse but to illustrate how deeply entrenched pain can distort human relationships. In doing so, it resonates with those who appreciate a realistic, albeit harrowing, depiction of human fragility and redemption even if it isn’t the traditional “happy” romance to be expected. And to those who comments how cr*ppy this is: shut up, y’all just don’t see the value of it and probably romanticizing that all relationships should be like “this” or “that”. Just shut up, if you don’t like it then don’t comment(although there’s free will lol) because this author just made a complete art that how emotions can be captivating and profound in the way they are expressed. This story just delves into how severe trauma, oppressive social hierarchies, and the scars left by war and abuse shape their character making their actions a product of their harsh upbringings(just like Heiner for example). While this doesn’t excuse the toxic behavior, it does offer a more nuanced look at how personal pain and societal pressures can warp relationships. This depth is what makes it compelling, as it forces us to grapple with the complexities of human nature and the lasting impact of systemic abuse. In short, I super love and root for this. Periodt.
