storyline: chiwoo is back at school after some sort of “incident” and he meets class president kyujin, who wants to help him fit right back into class and also graduate!! but chiwoo is carrying a lot of trauma with him, most of it inflicted upon him by his former best friend jihyun... shit hits the fan real quick when jihyun comes back and demands all of chiwoo’s attention, threatening him and the people around him. can kyujin’s love save chiwoo? reaction: man FUCK JIHYUN, i hate his traumatized violent criminal ass!!!!!! my baby boy kyujin deserves the entire world, i’m so glad he and chiwoo found each other cause baby boy chiwoo definitely needs some goddamn sanity in his life (love how i’m out here bashing jihyun but i made so many pinterest pins of his handsome self UGH)

storyline: a guy who used to be chubby as a kid reappears in his crush’s life all hunked up and confesses his love. it takes some getting used to but eventually his crush develops feelings for him as well, all while an old stalker from high school threatens his safety. reaction: a rollercoaster. i had a weird feeling about junghyuk from the start but it turns out the story itself was just eerily written and he wasn’t that bad after all?? threw me off for a while but i’m glad it worked out. also i liked the progress of their relationship, it took a while for taesu to warm up to junghyuk and i think that was pretty realistic and made their inevitable relationship that much more satisfying to see. bonus points for taesu’s friend gido, i love him to bits and he deserves everything.

storyline: problem boy boris saves local "slut" sehyun from being gangraped in a bar bathroom, which leads to an unexpected connection between these two people from very different worlds. sehyun is pretty much owned by a vile man named michael, who abuses him and whores him out to other guys, and only in boris does sehyun find a shred of compassion and decency (and hope for a better future) reaction: my god this pulled at my heartstrings... sehyun deserves the world, i'm so mad he got mixed up with a stupid piece of shit like michael!!!!!!!! but i'm so glad he and boris found happiness together i mean damn i got emotional at how much they love each other...... also i liked how this didn't portray love and a healthy relationship as a magical cure for trauma, sehyun still has a lot to work on but boris and his family being there for him really makes a difference and helps him love himself a bit more every day

storyline: sung chamin is an actor who reads people’s thoughts, until he has to work with han mogyum, whose thoughts he’s incapable of hearing... they have to work together on a BL movie, so chamin suggests they live together to improve their dynamic and chemistry (and hopefully understand why mogyum escapes his ability) reaction: 4 stars because it’s good but the character dynamics weren’t the best for me... JOONYOUNG DESERVED BETTER !!!!!!!!!! also i did like how they mentioned the possibility of pedophilia as an illness and not inherently a crime... but yeah i’m still so pissed that seungho ended up with ****** instead of *********................ but the main characters are so cute i love them so much, mogyum and chamin ftw

storyline: alphonse sacrificed himself for ed’s sake, now ed’s back home and delusional, imagining his brother is still with him reaction: jesus christ my heart hurts

storyline: xiangyang is a delinquent and mingxun is class president. mingxun takes a special interest in helping xiangyang, but soon his interest develops into romantic feelings, which xiangyang has a hard time accepting because of his past trauma. in the meantime, xiangyang’s friend, beiguang, wants to keep yang only to himself. reaction: damnnn this had way more trauma than i’d anticipated, but i’m so happy the boys found a way to heal with each other’s help

storyline: guy cums pearls. that’s it. reaction: i’m amazed by how much plot stemmed from this very simple premise. human greed, capitalism, deranged men, trauma… the whole shebang.

storyline: dan yi-rim is an omega whose pheromones have no scent. yeom cheong-ho is an alpha who becomes ill by simply smelling an omega’s scent. yi-rim is a pro figure skater and cheong-ho is a pro swimmer. they find each other by accident, but their wounds and the things they have to lose have them running in circles around each other for way too long. review: i think it was the first omegaverse that i’ve read that called the act of biting one’s neck “imprinting” instead of “mating” and i personally loved that. also, i felt so freaking sorry for cheong-ho, especially after yi-rim disappeared the first time… him crying beside yi-rim’s hospital bed completely broke me, my poor, sweet sweet boy…

storyline 1: a young intern at a company works part-time as a prostitute and ends up being hired by his superior at work, who doesn’t know it’s him because he’s blindfolded throughout the entire thing. the superior is also ridden with like, religious guilt, so sex is treated more like exposure therapy than actual sex for a while, until lover boy falls for him and decides to show him a new side of sexuality. storyline 2: a college student lends his pen to another one from a different year and department, then uses that pen as an excuse to frequently meet him at his lab. turns out, lab guy had a long-lived crush on his sister’s husband, and pen guy has to convince him to let it go and fall in love with him instead. also, anemia and like 9 stepfathers (damn). review: not bad tbh. the art is super cute, although i think the author suffers a bit from same-face-syndrome. it’s interesting how two wildly different stories such as these ended up in the same volume.
