storyline: xiangyang is a delinquent and mingxun is class president. mingxun takes a special interest in helping xiangyang, but soon his interest develops into romantic feelings, which xiangyang has a hard time accepting because of his past trauma. in the meantime, xiangyang’s friend, beiguang, wants to keep yang only to himself. reaction: damnnn this had way more trauma than i’d anticipated, but i’m so happy the boys found a way to heal with each other’s help

storyline: ryu doeun is the leader of a rebel team who’s targeting a man responsible for a political conflict. doeun’s plan is to approach the man’s son, seo janghan, in order to get to the man, but doeun doesn’t foresee catching feelings for this soft-spoken bookworm, who apparently wants nothing to do with his father… reaction: this was actually so cute?? i think it’s a historical storyline, since it mentions a conflict between japan and korea (which i’m not entirely familiar with), but i really liked it

storyline: lee hangyeol is crushing on his childhood best friend, choi suho, in what he believes is an unrequited love situation. spoiler alert: it isn’t. reaction: honestly??? i love them. the extra chapters with suho’s perspective just added a new layer of pining to the mix and i really enjoyed it, super sweet and satisfying to read <3

storyline: not much of a storyline tbh, nakamura okuto has a crush on his classmate hirose aiki and he tries really hard to befriend him but he’s super shy!!!! reaction: the sweetest fucking thing i’ve ever read omg hirose is such a little ball of sunshine and nakamura really is so brave!!! with his crush!!!!!! my god i adore this

storyline: yamada torao loses his lover oota hikaru in an accident, and decides to kill himself. he wakes up 250 years later after having been criogenically preserved by his parents and finds himself with an android made to resemble hikaru. reaction: jesus christ this is so sad

storyline: isuzu is a deaf man who stumbles upon music student touka, a violin prodigy who lost his way... together they learn that communication doesn’t need sound, and love can grow from quietest touch reaction: honestly? i loved this. isuzu is such a great guy, and touka really likes him and learns so much from him... the fact that isuzu often gets overwhelmed seems very real and even relatable to hearing readers, so i think the author did a great job on this one

storyline: mob son with a pure heart and an inability to kill (chinatsu) meets a blind boy (kasumi) who accepts him regardless of his past, his mistakes and his grief, and shows him there’s a way out through the light for everyone reaction: pretty cute, chinatsu’s design is very attractive, i just didn’t love how kasumi looked so feminine and defenseless (i know he’s blind but still…)

storyline: art school student gets very interested in a male model who seems uninterested in pretty much everything. somehow this leads to a relationship. review: uneventful and a bit too cold overall, no spark, no flame
