Anemone Theater
storyline: set in the 80s, lee sungho is a pharmacy straight A student who lives under his father’s pressure to be the best in everything he does. he gets frequent headaches that seem to only go away when he gets involved with shim dukgwang, a poster artist for a movie theater that also acts as an undercover meeting spot for gay men, away from the their homophobic society’s eyes reaction: damn this had layers!!! it could’ve been a 5 star story for me (the time skip really added an extra depth to the angst here) but the side story was a bit too questionable for my morals, so 4 stars it is!
Baraou No Souretsu
reaction: this was a whole trip lmao also damn the storyline for having so many goddamn characters with the same names i was struggling to keep up
Yuureitou
reaction: this was a ride, and the art itself is gorgeous
Oyasumi Punpun
i physically can’t rate this any higher just because my mental health suffered enormously thanks to this story
The Third Ending
storyline: suh yoonseul is a popular guy who was confessed to by kang jun in high school, whom he rejected. ten years later, yoonseul meets him again when he visits the bakery where jun works, and a friendship blossoms before yoonseul even realizes that love is already blooming. reaction: lorrrddddds they’re so down bad for each other i love this so much
On or Off
storyline: ahn yiyoung is a college student leading a team in the development of a game app. kim daehyung is the director of the company he’s pitching their game to. what starts off as a terrible business relationship ends up becoming a lovely bond between these two men. review: i love this so much omg daehyung truly flipped the switch and it was beautiful to watch
Fast Forward
storyline: time powers!!!! review: very engaging, loved the dynamics between the characters and the powers themselves (although i got a bit confused by the end)
Nanohana Boys
storyline: yuu is a former delinquent who had an accident and lost sight in one of his eyes. kenji, his classmate, is deaf since birth. they bond over their disabilities and a sense of kinship, and navigate through life and their traumas together review: wholesome ig although i expected shounen ai, idk why. however, kenji's mother simply seemed like a flat character created to bring some drama to the story like why tf would you hate your own kid so much because he's deaf?? didn't click for me
