The Third Ending
storyline: suh yoonseul is a popular guy who was confessed to by kang jun in high school, whom he rejected. ten years later, yoonseul meets him again when he visits the bakery where jun works, and a friendship blossoms before yoonseul even realizes that love is already blooming. reaction: lorrrddddds they’re so down bad for each other i love this so much
On or Off
storyline: ahn yiyoung is a college student leading a team in the development of a game app. kim daehyung is the director of the company he’s pitching their game to. what starts off as a terrible business relationship ends up becoming a lovely bond between these two men. review: i love this so much omg daehyung truly flipped the switch and it was beautiful to watch
Waterside Night
alt title: low tide in the twilight storyline: euihyun inherits his deadbeat dad’s debt. taeju is the collector. a story on power dynamics, humanity and the way love can bloom in the cruelest of places. review: honestly this was a fucking ride. in the beginning i couldn’t fathom how they could turn this pairing around to make me root for them, but this was a redemption arc done right (as much as one can “come back” from raping someone)… i felt so bad for euihyun the entire time jesus christ, my boy deserved to be happy!! but anyways, story wise it sucks you in and keeps you hooked, in the sense that you basically only get reminded it’s an omegaverse at times, like the whole story doesn’t revolve around that at all… and the sex scenes go CRAZY
A Trace of the Wonder
storyline: jeon yiseon is a restorer with a secret and a whole lot of trauma. sa hyeon leads the country’s top guild and wants the restorer on his team. however, what seems like a simple recruitment turns out to be a transaction: one secret for another. a deal is a deal, but what about their hearts? who wins that game? review: this is the most plot-heavy BL i’ve ever read and i LOVED it. who woulda thought i’d be a dungeons dynamics fan, huh? also the characters?? i love them all, the storyline is amazing, the plot twists, the relationships, the way trauma is handled in this story… i’m in absolute awe, this is the coolest thing i’ve read in a very long time
Weak Hero
storyline: gray yeon starts his high school life at eunjang, where delinquents rule the place and bullying is everyday's special. they try to mess with him since he's pretty and weak-looking... but don't expect him to be a little crazy himself!! gray ends up meeting many characters from eunjang, as well as other schools, and ends up being involved with "the union", a dangerous multi-school delinquent organization run by a ruthless guy: donald na reaction: i got so goddamn invested in this, it was seriously one of the most incredible stories i've read. final chapters had me weeping over my computer wtf also the character dynamics?? their backstories??? the fight scenes????? absolutely fucking amazing, I LOVE THIS
Kill the Villainess
storyline: our main character wakes up inside eris miserian's body, the villainess in the book the mc is reading. she must find a way to return to her world, but the plot seems to ask her... to die. review: this was amazing!?? the art is incredible, the characters were well explored, and the focus on eris's mission as the key part of the narrative, unchanged and unfazed, is a welcome deviation from my initial assumption that this would be a story moved by romance. the fact that all of them were "cursed" in the end just makes it even more vindicating for the main character. also can god please send a man like anakhin my way PLEASE
Redeem: Only One Forever
storyline: hangyeol loses his lover, taehyuk, in a car accident. in the middle of the street, hangyeol passes out and wakes up in his own body 10 years earlier, aged 11. he then makes it his mission to save taehyuk, currently a 28 year old vet who has no clue what the kid's deal is, all while figuring his way around his own brother's obsessive behavior. review: honestly? what a fucking great surprise. this concept had a strong chance of being developed into something weird and problematic, but execution was super well done. even the addition of a future-insighted taehyuk allowed for his character to see hangyeol as more than just the kid before him, so the age gap wasn't such a striking aspect... and even so, taehyuk's resolution of waiting a decade for the simple chance of his lover finding him and falling for him again... i love love!!!! (also dojun deserves the entire fucking world and i HOPE hanyool got his ass in therapy after that whole fiasco)
Love for Sale
storyline: namwoo is a broke college student who catches the eye of si-eon, the ceo of a publishing company. a relationship blooms between them, but while namwoo dives headfirst into the feeling of love and his vulnerability, si-eon uses his money as a shield in order to keep namwoo happy without having to give himself away. slowly but surely, his walls are broken down… review: this was so good, the way the characters’ motives and thoughts reflect their upbringing, and the way it affects the relationship… amazing (and this was also the cutest freaking thing)
Lost in the Cloud
storyline: yeon skylar has a crush on his schoolmate, seong chan-il, and has a folder of photos he takes of him. baek cirrus, chan-il’s friend, finds out, and skyler begs him not to tell chan-il. cirrus then decides to mess with him, and uses skylar in some twisted games he plays with his fucked up family. meanwhile, skylar is also fighting his own demons and trying to survive cirrus’s antics. review: this was actually so fucking good. the trauma on both ends, the characters, the dynamics, the ART!! i hadn’t been this invested in a webtoon in a very long time, i’m so glad i found this
