Sayonara, Heron
An understated story about two lonely people who meet in high school and create a life together.
Bokura no Shokutaku
A lonely young office worker is befriended by a child who steals his rice ball, and his older brother - Minoru - who asks him to teach him how to make them. The single father is their widowed dad; I didn't want to use a different tag for this. It's so heartwarming and sweet.
Futari Hyakkei: Kaze no Owari Haru no Hajimari
When his boyfriend loses his voice due to a cold, a man has to learn to be the one to speak.
Love Life
Following the death of his parents and his sister's marriage, a young and clueless man decides to live on his own. He's saved from his constant yet endearing fumbling by his neighbor, a kind-hearted member of a theater troupe. A sweet love story with feelings that really jumped off of the page!
Futari Bocchi no Shokutaku
A lonely man takes in a man without a home to return to, and over half a year, they fall in love. Gentle, subtle, and incredibly moving. Childhood friends start dating and have jealousy issues (and very long bangs).
Koi Kamo Shirenai
A proofreader flees to an island after being dumped by his boyfriend and meets a young man he confides in, knowing he'll never see him again. But he's in for a surprise when they run into each other in Toyko and start a casual relationship he's afraid of letting become serious. Slow burn on the relationship build front. This was really satisfying and sweet.
From Green Kitchen
A manga where someone can cook without injury! A man who works as a cook in a family run store takes notice of a salaryman who always seems to pick up the dishes he makes. This was sweet, with no unnecessary miscommunication, grown-up characters, and no unhappy feelings. I loved it.
Kitaru Harekake no Ashita yo
A man whose business is fixing things no one else wants picks up a teenage boy. Years later, they're still coworkers and encounter the person that threw the boy away. I usually don't care about stuff like this but I was so happy the pretty one topped. (Or, will. They don't do that on page.) There's a bit of weirdness in the middle. I hope they called the police on that person honestly??
Hearty
Honma, a serial liar, confesses to the sincere, sweet Ikai not because he likes him, but because he wants to see how long it'll take for Ikai to like him. But little does Honma realize he's going to fall in love and change his tune.
