this one hits close to home! A man with an allergy to the sun returns to the island where he grew up, and the boy he was in love with, to help with their dwindling population that threatens year-round occupancy. this is about tourism, and the author must know something about tourism because it was too spot on! there are some murky feelings early on and a dubcon moment.

childhood friends are separated during a ritual where one is sacrificed, but years later is discovered alive and living as a princess. Unfortunately rushed toward the ending but the art is absolutely gorgeous.
