Liquor & Cigarette
Teo, the lightweight owner of a liquor store, "trains" with his childhood friend Camilo in order to take part in the city's wine tasting festival. He uses their drunken evenings to explore his confused feelings for Camilo. Though Teo loves him, he's frightened by the idea of having sex while simultaneously afraid to give him up. The art in this is gorgeous, the relationship mature, the friends supportive and friendly. Marking this dubcon since Teo is asleep when they start at many points, though it was vaguely agreed on each time in advance.
Eigyou Nika!
An instant favorite. Ayumu has been in love with a sempai at his company for a long time. They're so close and Toujou is so affectionate with him that coworkers joke they're married, but Ayumu has no intention of confessing his feelings and only wishes for Toujou's happiness. I dislike labeling people by the way they have sex, but this author flipped a lot of traits I see in other stories. Toujou, who plays the role of the seme, is bubbly, affectionate, straightforward, cheerful, laughs, and rolls around thinking about buying a dog. When Ayamo apologized for being unable to bear children, Toujou turned around and apologized too - to everyone's shock, including mine. So often, the gay character is the one who harbors regret for leading the straight or bi character down a "wrong path." This author went the other way. Toujou stressed that they're both unable to have kids, they're equals, and they're choosing to be together because the love each other. The end. I'd read a hundred pages about their silly domestic mishaps.
Jealousy (Scarlet Beriko)
Side-story to Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki centered around Rogi. Following that story, a young man flings himself in front of Rogi's car hoping to extort him for money, but Rogi takes him home instead and his daughter takes a shine to him. Unable to refuse her, he lets the man stay as a pet. Contrasted with these newfound domestic moments are scenes from Yogi's past and Ooyamoto Akitora, the young yakuza leader he fell in love with when he was twenty-one. I have a feeling we are headed into extreme heartbreak territory since we know he can't be with Akitora in the present. His son is Tatsuyuki (as in YOT). Desperately waiting for Tetsuya to make a cameo as a bartender! I want the history of his scar! I also 10,000 more volumes about him and Oumi!
Shingeki no Kyojin - Birth of Levi: Kuinaki Sentaku
This is No Regrets
Sayonara Game (minaduki Yuu)
Former baseball club teammates are reunited when a kouhai tutors his sempai's younger sister. SuBLime has this and its sequel, so I picked it up even though I only liked the sequel the first time I read this series. I loved this on reread. Maybe I didn’t like something about the scanlation? The official story was beautiful and so I raised this from 3 to 5 stars. I didn't feel much reading this story, although the art style is lovely.

The next stage of the relationship: moving in together
Void (zariya Ranmaru)
Seven years after his lover Ren died, Maki is still angry at him for his betrayal, because while Maki had been completely devoted to Ren, Ren had used him as a substitute for his straight, married brother. When Maki's brother gives him a gift, a "pet" model robot called Arata designed after the late Ren that even has some of his memories, Maki takes the chance to vent the anger that has kept him trapped in the past. But despite looking like Ren, Arata is nothing like him, and after two weeks of cruel treatment, Maki's anger turns to loneliness when he remembers Arata's affection for him is nothing more than imprinting. Original comment: I think this may have influenced a D/C AI fic I've read, the beginning especially? It's eerily similar. [On researching, I believe the fic predates the manga so it must've been a coincidence.] 2022 ETA: Purchased from SuBLime
