A serial adulterer who blames all of his problems on other people is reunited with a man who has been in love with him since college, but even though he's loved completely by this person, he continues to search for something else, insistent that he can't be happy with another man. Frustrating at times but really interesting and engaging. I don't LIKE the characters as people per se, but I like this story.

After childhood friends who have been in love since middle school finally move in together, one starts an affair with someone from his outdoors club.

In order to buy his lover a birthday present, Takiya takes a summer job at a country ryokan, only to return home for a surprise visit and find his lover with someone else. He quickly gets over his broken heart by crushing on Honjou, the older and sophisticated son of the inn's owner.
