Crossover Love
Sequel to the sequel. I'd like to see Tatsumi's emotions evolve toward Daiki. Unfortunately, he treats him as a possession - and says as much - multiple times in this series, and it bothers me that he doesn't grow beyond that. I believe he cares for Daiki, but he's a bit abusive and manipulative. Maybe there will be another volume where he comes to be more affectionate.
Ake Nure Goyou ni Furu Yuki wa
A collection of beautiful, quiet, moving, melancholy stories. The most developed is a young tea master who saves a wounded member of the yakuza from dying; they have the first few and final chapter.
Uchi no Tantei Shirimasen ka?
A happy couple works as detectives and comes into a little difficulty when one of them is expected to succeed his family's group. What a wonderful change from the norm! Two people who like each other, mutually respect each other, and have full confidence in their relationship. I'd love to read the brother's story, if it exists.
Jealousy (Scarlet Beriko)
Side-story to Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki centered around Rogi. Following that story, a young man flings himself in front of Rogi's car hoping to extort him for money, but Rogi takes him home instead and his daughter takes a shine to him. Unable to refuse her, he lets the man stay as a pet. Contrasted with these newfound domestic moments are scenes from Yogi's past and Ooyamoto Akitora, the young yakuza leader he fell in love with when he was twenty-one. I have a feeling we are headed into extreme heartbreak territory since we know he can't be with Akitora in the present. His son is Tatsuyuki (as in YOT). Desperately waiting for Tetsuya to make a cameo as a bartender! I want the history of his scar! I also 10,000 more volumes about him and Oumi!
Negai Kanae Tamae
A young member of the yakuza becomes fascinated by a piano player.
Love or Pride
ROUGE (KATSURA Komachi)
A delinquent sophomore, Nagato, falls in love with Ai, a beautiful boy who, rumor has it, has been used as a sex object by the seniors. Ai has a low opinion of himself and is confused when Nagato continues to approach him, and is bowled over when Nagato confesses his love. This story focuses on consent, healing, mutual pleasure, honesty, and open communication. What a delight. I'd give it ten stars if I could.
