I'm glad the main characters end up happy but I'm sad over Juwon's friend (love interest?) and their sunbaes a great story nonetheless

Set in the mid-90s, they were friends in their childhood days but Lin Che, now known a Robert, got himself involved with the mafia to make a living. Elliot held on to his love and decided to stay with Lin Che and brave their future from now on. It's a bittersweet ending but at least they're together nonetheless.

I love this so much. I held off on reading this for so long because I already found Rumspringa so heartwrenching (in a good way), so I wasn't prepared for how the story of the infamous Gene would stir such emotions in me again. I'm so glad they were still able to reunite after all his years of studying, be it friends or lovers, and that they're making the decision to at least be together again. I love this author and their works so much.
