The Broken Ring : This Marriage Will Fail Anyway
WHY DID IT LEAVE ON A CLIFF HANGER LIKE THAT.. But anyways! I thought the beginning wasn't all that, but now it's getting kind of interesting. Tbh I'm most interested about the FL and how they're going to explore her backstory. Can't wait 4 more
Sierra
dropped :/ It was too fastpaced... Pass!
For Better or For Worse
completed! OH MY GOD GENUINELY ONE OF THE BEST ISEKAI REINCARNATIONS I'VE READ IN AWHILE. THE PACING WAS REALLY GOOD AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY UNNECESSARY DRAMA THAT STRAYED AWAY FROM THE MAIN PLOT. ALSO, THE SLOW BURNNN!! THEY WERE JUST TOO CUTE AND THEIR BANTER WAS ADORBS. I LIKED THAT THE STORY WAS VERY COHESIVE AND IT ALL WENT FULL CIRCLE. BEAUTIFUL ENDING AND BEAUTIFUL STORY AND BEAUTIFUL ART. Literally heartbroken that it's all over now but honestly I couldn't have thought of a better time for it to end!! Honestly I have no complaints. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE LIKE THIS FROM THE AUTHOR!!
This Is An Obvious Fraudulent Marriage Webtoon
dropped :/ this is an obvious fraudulent manhwa. No, jokes! It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. It was great for my isekai fever era but now that the desire for isekai has dwindled significantly, so has the desire to read this since it's just like every single isekai ever. Also, I will never forget when the ML licked her armpits
How To Reject My Obsessive Ex-Husband
Never have I seen so many different plot lines converged into one. We have reincarnation into a novel, super powers, and found family. Despite the ML being a walking red flag and the other characters being pretty one dimensional, the world is intriguing enough for me to continue reading.
A Way To Protect The Lovable You
really cute and mixes angst and fluff well. I HATE the Fl's mother. Edit: I just reread this and unfortunately I’ve decided to lower to 3 stars. It had a very promising beginning, but this is relatively fast burn, so the main leads’ relationship fell flat real quick because they essentially got together at chapter 10. Honestly, the side couple (Noelle and Arwin) were a more interesting pair. The antagonist also got real annoying quickly— rather than being intimidating or daunting, the stakes felt relatively low because Josephina was just so one dimensionally evil and stupidly reckless. I powered through until chapter 90 before I skimmed through the rest. I know there was a main antagonist besides Josephine that was the mastermind, but I honestly couldn’t be bothered to read the rest. That being said, this manhwa still has more depth than a lot of other ones.
I Thought It Was a Common Isekai Story
The story is slightly subversive but mostly a typical isekai manhwa. Yet somehow I’m hooked to the story! I think it’s partially due to there actually being high stakes rather than the villainess being a petty heroine. Although there is the typical “perfect” two-faced heroine and annoying one-dimensial sub villains, the story is compelling enough for me to continue reading and rooting for the FL and ML’s happiness.
Death Is The Only Ending For The Villainess
The more I read this, the more messed up it became. Even though I know Penelope is treating this like a game, I found it rather disturbing how she used Eckle throughout the story and dehumanized him. As psycho as he turned out at the end, he’s 17 and she’s mentally 20-ish, so there’s this implicit power dynamic she’s enforcing on him. Not to mention she just kept him as a slave instead of freeing him?? Yeah, he said he didn’t want to be freed but why did she listen to him.. I just don’t understand why freeing him would not have given her favorability.. She is truly villainous I guess. The plot itself was pretty interesting, especially with how it actually operated as a game rather than real life (which could explain why she treats characters as tools rather than people). The reason why this is 2 stars instead of the usual 3 stars is because the FL is slowly becoming unlikeable because of how hot and cold she treats the characters. She gets upset that people treat her unfairly but doesn’t give the same consideration to others. Rather than kindness, most of her actions feel most beneficial for her survival. While selfishness isn’t a bad thing (especially when you’re stuck in a hard mode otome game), double standards are. Her genuineness often gets lost in her manipulation. I think my final straw was her treatment of Eckles throughout the story.
