Cheese In The Trap Manhwa
dropped :/ I tried rereading it after a couple years and I don't know.. it was kind of boring. I just couldn't get into it. I really wasn't a big fan of the ML either, I kind of liked In-oh better. The highlight was probably the FL but that's basically it.
Our Secret Alliance
dropped :/ I mean... it's ok. I really didn't feel any connection to the characters whatsoever, I didn't even gush when anything racey happened. Also, I don't know if it's because I was skipping around but they kind of just forgot about the whole conflict with the FL trying to figure out if that guy who's with her mom is having an affair or not. I don't really like how they keep jumping onto different conflicts before the other ones get resolved.. It's just a bit cliche and boring.
Pure villain
It's a bit cliche and follows the format of goofy comedic webtoons which sometimes succeeds in its humor but also has jokes that are a bit cringey. Overall, not a bad read although I'm not really a big fan of the ML. I don't hate him but he's just ok. The FL is precious though!
Let's Go to Work Tomorrow!
It's not bad! It definitely is a more rare dynamic to see two leads who aren't polar opposites get together. I will say that there are some parts that are interesting and some parts that are just kind of boring. The side couple is actually a little more interesting than the main lead. Also, I actually felt so bad for Jo-Gaeul.. like did he do something wrong?? I forgot why they broke up. I don't blame anyone 'cus you can't help it if two people don't align anymore, but it was just so heartbreaking to see Jo-Gaeul by himself as he witnessed the FL get with the ML. In conclusion, not really a manhwa I'd continually visit for new chapters, but maybe something I would either drop in the future or check in once in awhile.
How I came to like my male friend
It was a nice and short read. My main quibble is that it was a bit annoying to see how aloof the FL was to the ML's attraction to her, but I guess that really can't be helped? He was giving mixed signals once he started distancing himself. It's just a bit frustrating once you know both perspectives. I also kind of wished they both properly apologized to each other after the ML's outburst 'cus it felt like they kind of just glided over the part where the ML name called her and essentially accused her of playing with his feelings when she wasn't trying to intentionally.
The Dilettante
interesting.. things are kind of going a bit fast but the sexual tension is kind of living Edit: Eh romantic development went way too fast— it was going great but suddenly on chapter 11 things went from “I hate this man and I can’t trust him” to “I won’t him so bad” and now they’re in love?? The plot wasn’t even that interesting either and some of the dialogue was a bit cringe
Between Seasons
dropped :/ I just wanted some smut.. but the first chapters just made me feel depressed. The ML (her boss) is actually so strict so she basically has no life out of work, most of her co-workers are praying on her downfall, her friend slept with her fiance, and soon after she finds out the ML decides it's a great idea to announce that she broke off the engagement. Like, excuse me, that's none of your business?? Why are you making this poor woman's life more miserable. Not to mention that she has childhood trauma because her father constantly slept around with women when she was there. All I feel is dread for any future chapters because I just know she's gonna fall in love with this asshole.. Also the way he ominously said "have a great night.." with blank eyes like he knew that her fiance with cheating on her... literally what was that. Creepy af.. sometimes it can be hot creepy but this guy is just not it. It would be a 1 star but the art is kind of fire so 2/5.
