Ugh none of the characters are given any depth. Yahwi has the whole little rich boy who lost his parents and was raised by an aloof grandfather Freudian excuse. Cain is just a puppy personified, we don’t learn anything about him other than his desire to be with and serve Jooin (because what? He was a dog and Jooin his owner in previous life? You can’t make this shit up). And finally Jooin, a piece of cardboard. A blushing saint, great student who can do no wrong, eternal victim. Yahwi’s attraction is explained by a brief encounter while they were kids and Cain’s is by a connection in their past life. That says it all about Jooin’s character. I’m just reading this til the end so I can say I’ve finished it, it’s exhausting really.
