The story is just a rollercoaster of a ride, if you can stomach rape and confinement. I read the reviews and almost choked on it before diving in, knowing it wasn't gonna be an even ride. And boy it was a rough ride. With me holding my breath all the way. I honestly thought these two could have a had a much better chance if the Jiang Jiheon guy wasn't such a douche. But the end of the story Geon said he owes Jiheon, but the only thing he owes him is that he discovered his gayness. He already repaid his father's debt by staying w Jiheon. But the rape and initial confinement?!? Oh, puh-leease. And then afterwards after he was brought back again yet a third time?!? _ and then manipulated left and right. Idunno man. And letting Jiheon off the hook after being traumatized by the rape and confinement by saying it never did happen?!?

This is a roller coaster of a ride. The seme is the worst, a full on manipulator. The Uke, Seungjoo from what I understand, is just a normal person. What relationship he has with the perp is most likely due to threats and not an actual loving relationship at all. Far from it. The perp threatens him and I believe is the one responsible for pushing his then sex-friend into the river. He successed, for the most part, in isolating him from the rest of the world. And I think that he came back 10 years later and trapped the uke into that same cycle. The problem is the uke is hung up on him so the Stockholm case w him super severe. Ten years and he still hadn't been able to let go and never accepted the fact that Seunghyun has thoroughly and successfully threatened him into a relationship. He's feeling guilty for Seunghyun having been thrown in jail and tried to make amends for it after he ran into him. The problem is, while Seungjoo has been threatened all this time he still accepts Seunghyun and even fell in love with him. The story keeps jerking you back and forth between the threats and the love.

After having read Into the Rose Garden, this is nothing.

It's alright but don't waste your money.

I almost didn't want to read this ... Bcz of the opening chapter....gave myself a go a couple of times and couldn't hold it. But I'm glad I got beyond that, to where the story telling actually took place. And it's a very immersive experience. I can feel and tell what each character is feeling. The whole time on the edge of my seats though....cuz I know he's psycho but well, I know myself well enough not to judge.
