The conflict revolves around the characters learning to process their emotions and function in their roles as single parents. Meanwhile, the following volumes feel a little bit like throwing random tropes out to drag out the plot. I think most people who were drawn to the story originally came for the slice of life two dads with kids aspect, and that got lost in the burnt house/porn/acting/tabloid drama.
