Skip Beat
One of my fav all-time mangas, EVER. I'm thrilled whenever I see an update for this! I pine for a season 2 anime.
Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!
Cute and funny, but every chapter is only one page and it goes by so quickly. I enjoy this manga the most when I have a lot to read at once so I'll let it slide for quite a while before picking it up again.
Hana Yori Dango
One of my all time faves! It's pretty old but the art style improves, especially near the end. The romance is a long-burning type and you really feel it. These are characters that linger with me and I want to revisit all the time
Kimi Wa Petto
This is one of those sloooow burn romances that was so frustrating sometimes I almost stopped reading it but the last several chapters made me glad I stuck with it! Strong independent woman brings home an injured guy she finds in a box outside her apartment. She rationalizes keeping him because he has hair like an old dog she used to have, so she agrees to let him say as long as he acts like an obedient "pet". In reality he's a quirky dancer and loves her and comforts her as she deals with the mean people at work and her conflicted feelings about her boyfriend.
Chasing the Sun
A school girl tags along with her sister to a host club one day and meets a handsome host who turns out to be a fellow student in her class that's really angry and rude. She's really good at sticking up for herself and what's right so she stand up to him and to bullies that are picking on a sweet pretty girl out of jealousy. She also has a crush on the student council president who is completely oblivious and a completely empty and uninteresting character. Her revenge on the host guy in chapter 10 had me giggling.
Lan Chi
I'm currently about half over with this. Pretty interesting. The darker haired brother and the orphan girl are obviously both hiding things, I'm pretty curious what going to happen!
Koi wa Hito no Hoka
A likable supernatural shoujo with a strong female lead, what's not to like here? It's interesting with a very nice art style, also.
Boyfriend Of The Dead
Ok, this was REALLY entertaining! I laughed several times, and am really looking forward to more. This reminds me a little of the movie Warm Bodies but a lot better.
The Lady and Her Butler
I've been following this a bit on Lezhin but I'm following too much there right now so I'm coin-broke lol. Anyway, this is about a working girl who's awkward when it comes to socializing and relationships. The landlord of her new apt accidentally doublebooks her apt with a guy. She feels bad for him, and since he tells her he's gay, she decides to let him be her roommate/housekeeper. However, he's not actually gay just fresh from a big break-up and desperate for someplace to stay. Lots of awkward moments as they get to know each other. I like this a lot!
