Koi to wa Yobenai

Complete | eda yuuri,MACHIYA Hatoko | 2010 released

Holy crap, I really didn't expect this kind of story when I started this. This reminded me of Kimi Wa Petto a bit because they both take in strangers injured outside their apartment buildings. This had even more drama than Kimi Wa Petto, which was surprising in and of itself. There was so much self-resentment and heart ache for nearly all the characters. Then the misunderstanding and fear of admitting the truth about their feelings. Like damn.

Endou-kun No Jikken Note

Ongoing | hayakawa nojiko | 2013 released

I was really confused for the first several pages of chapter 1 but that all seemed to melt away as the story progressed. Then I realized that part was in the story before this and this one is a sequel. This is about 2 high school boys, Tsuda and Endou, who are very close friends, close in a way that makes most everyone realize there's something more there, but they're relationship seems to be an odd frozen state. There's even less progress between them than in the previous manga. But a few things happen, like Tsuda's flirty brother, their uncertainty about their future after high school, and a girl confessing that stirs things up between them and forces them to be more honest with themselves. The hug between Tsuda and Endou at the end- OOF, all the feels. Next chapter NOW please!

Tsuda is drawn to the quiet boy, Endou, with over-grown hair in front of him, teasing him to try to get him to come out of his shell. Finally, the boy lets him cut his hair but it's a disaster so Tsuda has his friend fix it. Tsuda get spooked because of his emotional reaction to Endou and tries to avoid him. This manga is slow and thoughtful and interestingly beautiful

I definitely read it before a long time ago, probably on my phone. So, I reread it. Adorable. Sweet. Two boys become friends because they ride the same train all the time. They're interactions are really precious. Then there's ton tension when one boy gets jealous when he thinks a girl is going to confess to the other boy. This is very slow-paced but so cute.

Hana wa Saku ka

Complete | HIDAKA Shoko | 2007 released

A quiet, moving tale of a business man who becomes friends with a group of guys living in a boarding house, the most mysterious of them being the owner. He's solitary but plain-spoken, and very unapproachable. The businessman finds himself more and more fascinated with the much younger owner or the boarding house. He fully realizes his feelings when a new guy with his heart on his sleeve moves into the boarding house, determined to get to know the owner. I liked this but some of it was hard to read, awkward wording possibly because of the translation.
