Guang Xiang
A sweet romance about two classmates who gradually fall in love but are afraid to tell each other, both afraid they'll be hated. A slow, touching story that was super warm and fuzzy to read. Very nice!
Koi to wa Yobenai
Holy crap, I really didn't expect this kind of story when I started this. This reminded me of Kimi Wa Petto a bit because they both take in strangers injured outside their apartment buildings. This had even more drama than Kimi Wa Petto, which was surprising in and of itself. There was so much self-resentment and heart ache for nearly all the characters. Then the misunderstanding and fear of admitting the truth about their feelings. Like damn.
Futari Bocchi no Shokutaku
I'm not sure I like the art style of this, but it could be just a bad scan. Looks rough and sketchy. Maybe it's intentional, who knows. But the story is interesting in a slow-moving, character-study kind of way. I rather like these emotional, methodically moving stories. I look forward to seeing how their relationship progresses and hope any incoming drama doesn't make me sob like a baby lol
Umibe no Etranger
A gay, disinherited by his family, writer lives on an island and sees an orphan boy sitting on a bench everyday staring at the ocean. They befriend each other until the boy is sent to live in an orphanage. Three years go by and despite promising to stay in contact the boy never contacts him. Suddenly the boy returns to the island all grown up and ready to pick up things where they left off but the writer is distrustful and bitter about the boy's broken promise that he'd call. This is a sweet, quiet tale that is almost TOO quiet.
Shinobeba Koi
This starts off interesting but kind of dark feeling. The main character idolizes the leader of a motorcycle gang and is favored by him a lot. He realizes that he's fallen in love with the leader when they sleep together but runs away from him out of fear. Years later, the gang leader finds out he's become a hair dresser and asks him to join his shop. 5 years after that they reminisce about the past and the ex-gang leader finally breaks down and confesses that he's loved him all along. Then it starts to get pretty cute when you see them awkwardly trying to become a serious couple.
Rainy Days, Yesterday
Two boys run into each other at a laundry mat and gradually get to know each other. Take rides a motorcycle, is rumored to have once been a delinquent, and comes from a big family. Ume is kind of lonely and gloomy and has no siblings, only a cousin that he lives with who used to have a crush on Take. As they get to know each other Take becomes aware of the wall Ume puts up and that he doesn't share everything. Ume doesn't want Take to know why he's living with his cousin. I have my suspicions as to why so i really want this to get updated!
Ikumen After
Two single fathers bond when they take their kids to the same kindergarten. For one it's love at first sight. He's gay and is divorced from his wife because their marriage had been a sham, essentially. The other father is a widow, his wife having died a few months ago in an accident. The gay father tries to control his feelings while being a good friend and the widow overcomes his loss as he feel closer and closer with his new friend. This manga is a sweet one with kissing. There's implied sex at the very end but you don't actually see it happening. The kids are super cute too. Cute fluff!
Koishite Daddy
Divorcee and his gay neighbor develop a relationship with the help of the divorcee's young son, who adores the neighbor. Cute fluffiness! There's a sequel to this called Love Kids, about the little kids in this one.
Hey, Your Cat Ears are Showing
Cutesy fluff! Adorable art style with a slice of life feel, except that there's a supernatural element with people who can shift and partially shift to and from animals, mostly cats.
