Kono Ore Ga Omae Nanka Suki Na Wakenai
A spoiled pretty boy befriend a distant but popular boy in middle school only to be told that he never thought of them is friends. He's hurt deeply and never forgets that, but then one day in highschool his class gets a new transfer student and it's the same boy. He decides to try to befriend him again in a revenge plot for hurting him, but ends up liking him instead. I liked this manga, though I wish that the transfer student was a tiny bit less unemotional. He came off like a cold robot at times and I felt bad for the main character.
New Beginnings
Cute, fluffy shounen ai. Chihiro's childhood friend is back from Europe and confesses that he's in love with him. Chihiro is shocked because he's only thought of Keigo as a friend but slowly realizes how important his relationship is to him. I felt so bad for poor Keigo for most of this because he was so earnest and sad and kept getting hurt by Chihiro.
Love Kids!!
Rin has loved his father's gay lover since he was a kid, but as soon as he gives up on his first love his bestfriend Kiyo is waiting for his opportunity to pounce! This was pretty good as far as sequels go, though I liked the first manga more as I recall.
Lucky Number 13
Cute story about a boy with terrible luck who whenever he gets in a relationship the bad luck gets transferred to them. One day the seme sees him getting dumped in the middle of campus, and later finds out they're neighbors, and decides with very little hesitation to ask him out. They struggle against the bad luck for like all of the manga, but it's all cutesy and they love each other so they don't let it get between them. The cutesy art-style and the height difference made this manga feel a little shotacon-esque but oh well
Boku To Neko To Hatsukoi Kousa
I really liked this. It's about childhood friends who are in love with each other. One swears to protect the other one, who has a rough time at home because his dad is a drunken abusive ass, but then one day he walk in on him being molested by a teacher. He breaks down and blames himself and gets swept away in all his repressed emotion. These guys are super cute together.
Hatsukoi no Kanata
Boy has been in love with his father's lover for quite some time but gradually realizes that he has feelings for his best friend. Pretty adorable, and the gay dad and lover were a fairly unique spin on the usual.
Hatsukoi No Atosaki
Hm, so I liked this as I like most realistic relationship stories but something feels incomplete about this. The gay friend even at the end that although he's back together with the ex that he never stopped long that he won't even feel at ease or trust him, which is kinda sad. And the "straight" guy is still hiding and denying their relationship.
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi
What a trek.. I can't believe I read this whole thing, and that was AFTER I already watch the entire anime a few months ago. I skimmed a little bit of the technical parts about the creation of shoujo manga, but not much. Summary: Takana and Onodera date for a short time in middle/highschool but because of a miscommunication Onodera's heart gets broken and he goes overseas for highschool without telling Takana. They aren't in touch for 10 years when Onodera starts a new job as a shoujo manga editor and his new boss is Takana. For a little bit they don't recognize each other but once they confirm who they are Takana single-mindedly pursues Onodera, telling him that he never fell out of love with him. Onodera is still scarred from what happened and tries to run from a real relationship, aware that there are still feelings for him simmering under the surface. They have a few road bumps in the form of rivals. Also included in here are 3 other side stories about other people in the publishing company. I really hope the rest of this gets posted here soon, I'm sure there's not much left at this point.
Calling (OOTSUKI Miu)
I'm not the biggest fan of the art style but whatever. The plot is pretty cute and sweet. Business man runs into an porn actor at a park. The porn actor falls in love at first sight and pursues him in a not-pushy really sweet kind of way, especially considering how shy and timid the business man is.
