Save Me
All I can really say is that it makes complete sense why Namsoo ended up the way he did, considering the upbringing he grew up with. Lowkey kind of shocked his adoptive father didn't abuse him more or abandon him (and yes neglect is abuse). Don't get me wrong, i'm happy he didn't get abused more physically but still. The fact the twins were separated for such stupid superficial reasons makes me so mad... glad that the disabled twin at least had a somewhat normal, stable, and happy upbringing with his adoptive parents at least. The revenge he got for his brother was so satisfying, and I am amazed by how he kept it pretty proportionate to how much they hurt his twin. My favorite part of his revenge though was that he broke the class president's leg so badly he became disabled too, and is now getting bullied at his new school. Bet he doesn't like that at all lol... should've just swallowed down that pride and gotten help studying if he wanted 1st place. because clearly his idiotic actions didn't help him get number 1 again lol. I do have to question how he managed to find the same school his twin was in and transferred there with his adoptive dad having passed away.... and not having a computer or anything as far as I could tell. Namsoo is obviously very intelligent, but I don't think just being smart can help you do all that. Namsoo definitely took after his bio dad 100%. Also the way they died pisses me off so much! Fuck that bitch. Okay that is all I really want to say. 4/5 stars, it was good, somewhat unnerving, and very interesting, but not my favorite. I'm not really a phycological thriller kind of person.
The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly
The Millennial Tiger -
probably going to DNF this because I am just not into it tbh. i've been reading this out of curiosity about the whole tiger thing but it just feels like the story is going in the same stupid loop and it's annoying me
December
AHHHHHH so this was basically my second time, maybe third time reading up to chapter 42? except this time I read it all the way through to the end. I really enjoyed this because the Alpha and Omega main couple were both not annoying at all. their relationship is just very cute and good. I wish that it was longer and they would have rehashed the motorcycle accident that first brought them together less so it would have been more impactful in the final scene. I wish I could've seen the Alpha fuck his younger brother up for his part in the kidnapping of the omega MC >:U he deserves more than having his mother's and father's family ruined and having to live in a different country. I also wonder what happened to the dude that almost raped and marked the omega mc? did alpha ML really kill him? if so... he deserved it. I am glad the instigator of this shit is basically dead too, he also deserved it. also another user mentioned the Alpha ML's cousin and HONESTLY who's omega son is that?! cause if they're really related by blood then why do they both seem close and actually seem to like each other??? and did Alpha ML really take care of the HS kids who were messing with him? if so good. not take care of in a death or severe injury way, just enough to make them never do that shit again to anyone else.
Dragon Making Love
ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!! I really really really loved it so much! this series also made me bawl my eyes out like two times.... I can't believe I got so emotionally attached to the grandma and her puppy named baby.... and the little guardian statue that just wanted to be by his human until she passed.... like damn dude. ugh. the main couple are adorable!! I love that while the dragon prince of the eastern sea is so strong and whatever he never really forced the doctor into doing anything he didn't really want to do. Which he absolutely could've if he had really wanted to. I love this artist's art style too, very simple, but beautiful. the way they draw the human form/body is so fluid and pretty with so little lines. I aspire to have this level of mastery of the human form. 5 stars for sure. would absolutely reread and recommend this to other people.
A One Time Mistake
A case of mistaken identity that, unfortunately, leads our poor MC into a lifetime of pain and suffering.... I feel too bad for the main character to give this more than 3 stars, though I do think this is one of the better short stories i've read. Simple, but predictable plot, with no major logical fallacies that i've seen similar stories of a similar topic, and length have. I had already read this before, years ago, but never the official translation (I think). I don't know if I would ever read this again. The art is pretty, but the sex scenes just didn't really work for me, which is kind of a big no no for me when 90% of the comic is sex scenes. They probably didn't work for me because I was too busy thinking about how bad I feel for the MC... haha... yeah... ok. that's all I really have to say.
Royal Wedding (Bamilssi)
boring as hell... full of abuse and people who posted spoilers here have said it only gets worse than what it's been up to the point I did read.... so i'm dropping this.
Dead or alive
it was cute, some parts were a little out of left field (looking at you monkey section), but I enjoyed it for the most part. did feel a bit slow at times, and that paired with the nonsense parts is why it's a 4 star rating instead of 5.
Waterside Night
I enjoyed this up to a point. I do not think that the ML redeemed himself to the MC at all... like ok. he groveled a little bit and started treating him nicer but that doesn't at all make up for all the psychological trauma he put the main character through, nor the physical trauma and abuse either. The tone of this story was also all over the place too... I dunno. I just feel like so much unnecessary shit happened to drag the story on longer than it needed to be.
