Outsider Communication
stiff, awkward, no chemistry. interesting characters were not utilized to their fullest potential due to poor execution.
Rivalry
great to see character growth from all the characters involved and how that impacts their relationships. also love the emphasis on how communication maintains the relationship whenever both parties find themselves in opposition to each other, and overcoming those struggles together fortifies it. the drama is not overblown, and the story in general is satisfactory. although it's nowhere near revolutionary, i appreciate a good read. 3.9 stars :)
Gosan no Heart
honestly, wow, the chemistry's great! there's not much plot to speak of but the characters are so vibrant and teeming with life in their own right.
Faded First Love
MAN CHAPTER 34 GOT ME GOOD LMAO i genuinely thought— ....... hehe anyway this was adorable and lighthearted, though nothing really new. save for the premise, the plot follows the typical high school to graduation route where the amount of serious conflicts/drama is little to none. it's just two awkward boys navigating through their youth days and, of course, their young love <3 my actual rating: 3.8 stars i think it fell short on the chemistry/intimacy part. and i also think the problems here are surface level and/or had convenient resolutions because it "wasn't that serious to begin with." e.g. when you thought the author was laying down the grounds to tackle homophobia, it turns out to be a misunderstanding instead and the people are actually very supportive. you get what i mean? wouldn't mind a homophobia-free world, honestly, but that's not the point. the issue here is the author creating a serious atmosphere only to drop the ball and dismiss it halfway. it's the many instances of this throughout the story that makes me feel conflicted. tldr: lacks depth.
Koi wa Inamono Komarimono
what the hell I LOVE THEM!!! need more volumes ASAP loved the oneshot in chapter 6, too!
4 Week Lovers
OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SO MUCH WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN. the art? FIVE STARS. the humor? TWENTY STARS. the smut? FIFTY STARS. the romance??? GOD DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE DOJUN AND JAEHEE SO MUCH THEY DESERVE THE WORLD THEY DESERVE EACH OTHER THEY DESERVE ALL THE LOVE AAAAAUUUUGGGGHHHGH i don't seem to get sick of them even if they're too sweet for my taste. maybe it's because the chemistry is chemistry-ing and their relationship is what i could only describe as compelling because you could FEEL that these two are drawn to each other. the attraction is as obvious as the sun on a cloudless day. everything they went through, their inner turmoil, their conflicts, their stupid shenanigans, their past, and their sacrifices—clear indications of a labor of love. and i'm amazed, especially if a main couple's love can convince me to such extent. that's what made me hold onto this manhwa (the humor played a very big part, too) because, if i'm being honest, the pacing is all over the place and so is the plot. but i don't care!!! i love these two idiots!!! they deserve everything good in the world!! personal enjoyment: 5 stars objective rating: 4.5 stars. so close!! at the end of the day i still think a good plot is as important as a good romance.
I turned my crush into a doodle figure
DOODLE JIWON IS SO CUTE T---T other than that, the romance is just lukewarm and the writing is kinda awkward
