Ch 35 Ml lover in the past (nam haesol?). Dont worry, they are not lovers. Check chapters 179, 180, and 192 of the novel. Summary: 179-180 Woojin was created as part of a pharmaceutical company’s secret breeding experiments to produce high level espers. All the kids were manipulated to have a specific weakness they could be controlled with, and what they told Woojin was that he was the only one of them who actually had a mother. They gave him a photo and told him stories about the fake mother. He actually broke free of the constraint, but he had to pretend this mother was still very important to him. So when he meets Haesol, he’s shocked at the resemblance and he decides to use that to trick his enemies with her permission. In chapter 180, he explains that he could never fall in love with someone who resembles his mother so closely. In chapter 192 you see them meeting in the original timeline from Woojin’s perspective. You see him propose a deal with Haesol and it explains that they never even held hands to guide (only contactless guiding). It says: “Instead, he decided to think of the guide Nam Haesol as a younger sibling since she looked very much like his mother. Nam Haesol decided to respect his fraternal feelings, and as a result, their cooperative relationship went very smoothly.” So it’s a sibling-like relationship with no biological connection. Spoiler : In the year 584, at that time Jae-chan is an Intelligence Agency Team Leader while Woo-jin is the Leader of E-SOF. Because the terrorist group, Black Swan had grown to become too powerful, E-SOF and Intelligence Agency had to participate in a joint-operation to infiltrate one of the base of the Black Swan. Unbeknownst to them, the infiltration mission turned out to be a trap set by Black Swan to annihilate them all. When they were in the middle of the infiltration, the joint-operation teams encountered a Windless Zone/Null Zone(Energy Nullification phenomenon zone that nullify Esper's ability) set up by 'Angel' and 'Technician', two key executive members of the terrorist group, Black Swan. E-SOF and Intelligence Agency had to endured rain of bullets coming from the enemy side while unable to defend themselves because of the Null Zone so they had no choice but to retreat. In the midst of their hasty retreat, Jae-chan was already enduring severe injuries caused by several bullets piercing him. Then when they reached their temporary base, Nam-Haesol accidentally trip on a booby trap, causing an explosion. To shield her from the blast, Jae-chan jumped in between Nam-Haesol and the explosion. So back to my comments, everything that I wrote there actually represents some of the events that happened after the explosion. 1) The act of guiding in this manhwa actually conveyed some of the Guide's inner thoughts to the Espers who they are currently guiding. 'Everything gonna came crashing down like tidal wave' is actually a line from the novel, where Jae-chan, who was dying was guiding Woo-jin for the last time. His last word is "I'm sorry Woo-jin... . I should have let you go a long time ago. I should have wished you happiness. But I, without you... .". 2) Sadness represents the situations when the Intelligence Agency Members desperately tried to save their team leader, Jae-chan who was dying. 3) Despair represents Woo-jin who had just realise his feelings of love towards Jae-chan, hugging his cold lifeless body while begging the healing Esper to cure Jae-chan, although Jae-chan had long passed away. 4) Grief represents Woo-jin's action, who had bought largest whitest chrysanthemum bouquet, but couldn't bring himself to enter Jae-chan's funeral, standing in the rain for a long time before he ultimately left the flower bouquet in front of the Memorial house where Jae-chan's funeral was held. 5) Faint traces of regret represents Woo-jin's intention just before the mission. He thinks that now that they're both 27 and mature enough, they could put the past behind them, grab a drinks together after the mission was over and had a one on one conversation. But sadly this never happened, and so ended Woo-jin's first love. 6) Initially, I want to referenced the 5 stages of grief, but Woo-jin never make it to the last stage of grief, that is acceptance. So hopefulness here represents Woo-jin who sincerely believed and clings on to Jae-chan's Aunt words, "If I can go back in time ..." and also the the circumstancial evidence of the research left behind by the the Black Swan and Noah Airy(Esper from American Union who had unique ability of foresight), that is the 'The Miracle of Null Zone', capable to revive the dead, in the manner of rewinding back the time before all the tragedy happened. And indeed, Woo-jin succeeded in obtaining the Miracle and he wished to turn back time, to when Jae-chan is still alive while also wishing that he will forget everything, so as not to experienced that pain a second time. But for some reason, Jae-chan, who was the center of Woo-jin's wishes, was the only one to retained his memories before the regression. 7) Act of atonement represents Jae-chan, who felt guilty towards Woo-jin after regressing, did everything to annihilate Black Swan, secure Woo-jin's happiness and protect those who are dear to him. 8) Act of love represents Woo-jin, despite having no memories of pre-regression, still retained some of his feelings and sentiments from before the regression. And so, in this lifetime, he will never let go of Jae-chan again, leading him to gradually love Jae-chan more than anyone else. 9) The title of my comment, "Shall tear blood fallen" was based on the name of a character from anime Overlord. Because I like her name very much, that's why I picked her name to represents my emotions when reading the novel. Part of it was also to referenced the time when Jae-chan was dying, Kang-Eunho, Jae-chan's closest friend in the Intelligence Agency had burst down in tears when his friend was dying and also at the last arc of the novel(post-regression) where Jae-chan made a final sacrifice to help Woo-jin when Jae-chan was taken hostage, injuring Jae-chan severely in the process.

Ch 23 Then out of the blue a rock flung by a telekinetic Esper is deflected by Mickey just before it rips through kangs chest. Kang ends up taking a flesh wound to the shoulder over it. Mickey takes off after them. Just when we think he's come back successful kang reveals the guy in front of him is not Mickey. As soon as the stranger realizes he's been made he starts acting like a jealous ex. In the confusion kang managed to get out his gun and fire a warning shot to call Mickey back. the whole episode ends without capturing the telekinetic esper. It does reveal just how deep the distrust has seeped in between central and the other bases. Kang is called back to central to discuss the mistake and Kang decides to go alone. Mickey just looses it over that. The two argue and though Kang tries to smooth things over Mickey vows that Kang will never be able to pull rank on him again. Unfortunately this ends up being their final conversation. inside central Kang realizes they are just trying to delay him. So he slips away. Central actually tried to go on lock down to stop him from escaping. But Kang climbs out a bathroom window and hails a taxi. He's almost back at his own base when he finds out that Mickey has taken a deployment order without him and has been pushed into a riot. Kang heads straight there and takes command of the situation. He does distance guiding that pulls Mickey back from the brink. Now it's just a matter of getting close and doing some contact guiding. Everything looks like it's about to be resolved when a rock comes out of no where ripping through kangs chest. The damage was so great he was dead before he hit the ground. this is the third attempt on kangs life by an unnamed telekinetic esper who we later find out is he song himself. Mickey has suspected that He Song was actually alive for a while. Mickey also believed that He Song was dual powered esper because of how often Kang would guide Mickey. Kang would give Mickey more than four times the guiding a typical high powered esper would need. That's how much guiding it took to keep He Song in top form. Mickey tells us that it's a tail tell sign of a duo esper when they need significantly more guiding. It's never out right said in the book what He Songs second ability was. It's most likely the ability to change his appearance. He is seen looking like a number of different people throughout the book. It is never described whether He Song came back to life or if central helped him use a clone to fake his death. I was leaning toward the second possibly. Killing and recovering Kang was the only way to keep other forces from coveting him. Even them securing kang's cooperation was going to be extremely difficult. He Song didn't need to be that extreme with himself. Once he was reported dead, no one was going to come looking
