reverse harem/otome(?) adaptation -mc annie is a naive girl w/ a good heart -she was friends w/ 2ml william when they were kids but they grew apart after a misunderstanding; they resolve it and become friends again -ml ashton is a delinquent who gets into a lot of fights d/t past gang activity, but is kindhearted and the son of a famous piano player who completely neglected him (and still does); he learns drive from mc and works to go into the police academy and get away from gang life -3ml is a baseball player who is determined to go pro; he ends up training a real prodigy and struggles w/ his inadequacy, but is helped by mc's attitude and goes to play at a collegiate training camp -4ml joel is a boisterous funny guy who works a ton of part time jobs in order to pay for his father's (coma) hospital bills; he forgives himself w/ mc's help and accepts a position to join a pro-gaming team -5ml nicholas is mc's upstairs neighbor, who's an outgoing hoobae w/ family issues following his mother's remarry to his stepdad following his father's death; mc helps facilitate their communication and he learns that they're all trying their best -the plot: mc is being harassed by a boy she helped out in middle school who is now a scumbag; to get him to leave her alone, she changes her kt profile pic to a random pic of a guy and pretends it's her bf -it's actually a pic of ml, who gets his revenge in school by making her be his "jester" (basically he's just entertained by her being around) -they get to know each other more and he falls for her; he rescues her several times from that scumbag guy, a gang member working with tiffany (the main bully), and other bullies at the school who target mc b/c of tiffany (who likes william) -mc navigates school and building these relationships while becoming more resilient and learning to stand up for herself and others -[it starts out super childish and cringe and somehow evolves into a mature story w/ good chara dev] -happy end, mc gets w/ ml
