Interview with a Murderer
alex, a serial killer who kills people he loves and who love him to commit it to eternity x clark, a manipulative cold journalist who has a hobby of interviewing criminals and keeping records but not reporting them to the police (x oliver, alex's psychiatrist/clark's former on-and-off lover who's naive and is in love w/ alex) -clark is introduced to alex through his naive psychiatrist friend oliver, who treats alex and wants alex to have a friend (oliver knows alex is a serial killer, and knows clark has a hobby of interviewing such people) -alex only agrees to let clark interview him if they sleep together, and clark agrees even tho he knows oliver likes alex -alex reveals details of the murders to clark, which he records for his hobby -corrupt inspector chief tommy finds the recording and uses it to blackmail clark for info on his corrupt politician dad (but is incompetent and fails lol) -clark manipulates alex to fall in love w/ him so he can protect other people from being murdered, namely oliver -alex kills a random dude b/c he thinks clark will be interested, but clark completely cuts him off -clark collaborates w/ tommy and gives him all the info so if alex kills him tommy can catch clark -alex becomes jealous of clark and oliver's past relationship, so he kills oliver -clark is kidnapped by alex and ends up killing him in revenge, and not in the way alex wanted really interesting and well-written characters, clark is the bottom but not at all submissive and usually i hate that but it's good here -clark also seems cold and manipulative, which he is, but from the ring and his motivation to cut alex off from oliver, as well keeping oliver's finger in the end, it's evident that he actually did care about oliver (and not about alex)
