Toshokan No Daimajutsushi
Libraries, scholars, dragons....and magic! Reads so much like a high fantasy novel. It so intricately weaves a world all too believable. Highly recommended. ◆ [ 29 ]
Dr. Stone
A powerful collaboration between Eyeshield 21's Inagaki Riichiro and the artist who brought us Sun-ken Rock.
This Girl is a Little Wild
I was so inlove with the female lead, she was neither an obnoxious smartass nor irritatingly Mary Sue-ish. She was capable, formidable and unabashedly herself. Her relationship with the ML was so darn pure I wanna cry. They're both cluelessly intimate with each other most of the time, their interactions never felt deliberate. But now I'm crying for an entirely different reason and that's because this was dropped by the publisher a few years back. I still think about this every now and then.
Torso no Bokura
Anthology. The theme? Anthropomorphs. From birds, to fish to rocks. Sumiyoshi-sensei weave tales both splendid and haunting.
I've never been this engrossed reading a shoujo romance. It has a female lead I so love, she's endearing and her awkward ways are all too relatable.
Veil
Definitely drawn and written by someone who has done art design (either adverts or fashion). It reminds me so much of Readers Digest Condensed illustrations especially the collections from the pre-1990 hardcovers. I love the way Kotteri imparts her story: incredibly minimal dialogues and through the first thing we see; the art.
