Contemplative yet drawn in a jovial, almost undramatic, tone. On that oneshot; never thought I'd one day cry over a chicken. (;´ ༎ຶ益༎ຶ`)♡

So quaintly told that each story evokes much nostalgia. Chapter 5 is especially awesome.

One of the many things I love about oneshots: it's often straightforward. Simple, wholesome and very slice-of-life...

❦︎72 It is not a gourmet story where the chef and or an employee is the focus. Rather, it is the customers who are the driving force behind this flavourful series. Their striking conversations let you in unto their world....and part of their lives. This manga is a real treat.

Pleasant, short and merry.

A short nostalgic follow-up to the much beloved Hana Yori Dango. A sweet, almost saccharine, spin-off that focuses on the ever-gallant Rui's lingering feelings for Tsukushi.

Call it plain, call it basic. But its charm was in its unembellished storytelling. No drama, sudden plot surprises and family problems to crowd the simplistic narrative. Sometimes we all just want to read something to relax to. And this is one of those.

Meteor Prince's author described it as an "over the top, anything goes manga". And it is! Please note that the actual chapters posted here only goes until Chapter 6 (labeled "Chapter 2: Chapter 1"). Where we get to peek at the moments of a grieving man and a cat that's always picked last. Its depiction of cat owners is quite on point. And these pianists are a comical breed! ◆ [ 97 ]
