Ive watched the drama before, and I do agree, there is a lot of things that were in the novel but not in the drama. But, I will say this: - It is a chinese drama, so please, take notice of the censorship. One of the reasons why it may be seen as a bromance. - Althought, you can see a lot of scenes in the drama, that clearly shows us how they clearly love each other. The actors quimical relationship was absoolutley great. They were perfect for the characters and their romance. - It also has an open ending, which means they met each other again. - Even though we have the chinese censorship, we can see the little romance moments, like the lan headband for exemple. The way Lan zhan lookis at wei ying, and the way he clearly would choose him over his own sect. We can see all of this in the drama. - Jiang Cheng did have a small ceush on wq in the begging of the drama, but they did not ended up together, as think it wouldnt make a lot of sense, because of the war between the wens, it woulod be a mess. - If you think there wasnt romance between the wangxian in the drama, you probably watched wrong. thats all, watch it more then one time, and you can find the small details. If you want to watch the drama first, before the novel, you can. Before you watched it, read the novel, and then watch the untamed again. It is an awesome drama.
