Calalaya's manga / #Perfect(102)

My favourite couple of the set is still definitely the two tattoo understudies. Kaji (I think?) has the best design, he looks like a bug! Love that. And they definitely had the strongest characterization of all of them. The last couple is fun and the second couple has lovely designs as well

It's just some cute spider-loving, with some extras. It doesn't shy away from some of the potentially spookier aspects of dealing with spirits which I definitely find more fun. Plus the art is lovely. It's a meandering kind of Perfect, this one, I think

I absolutely adore micro/macro stuff and there is a criminal lack of it in manga, let alone yaoi. Plus the chief seems really cute

The first "real" manga I ever read - pretty hard to top that. Of course these same authors went on to do just that, but that's a whole other ball o' worms lol. This shocked my tiny little 9-year-old brain when I read it and changed the way I think about storytelling since that day. I own both seasons of the manga and anime, which is something I can claim for rare few other manga. It's amazing

The best manga I've ever read. Hands down. No competition. If something ever tops this, it's going to shake my world, because that's absolutely no less than what this manga did for me

Mmm... It's been a while since I read and rated this one, so to be honest I can't really remember why I rated it 5/5. Certainly it has a nice message in the middle, but I also feel like a lot of the elements were avoidable, or very juvenile haha. It's cute, to be certain, but in a kind of childish way? Like a middle schooler writing an office love story haha
