Oni to Tengoku
Hhrrh...I feel so conflicted, because I really feel like I submitted to loving the end but still have problems with the beginning. To the point that the beginning almost feels non-canon based on how they act past a certain point - I /hated/ Tengoku in the beginning, he's a slimy bastard who takes advantage of people's hangups and blackmails freely, but then later it's almost played like a joke reference?? Like a soft reboot. It's so odd. It just really feels like the first half trailed off and was never really closed satisfying, instead splintering off into a better story lol
Burlesque Night
So the pacing is whack lol, everything is always happening all the time everywhere, even in the backstory. Good on this one for not showing the traumatic backstory as a titillating scene for the audience tho, talk about a breath of fresh air there. It was pretty breakneck the entire way, but I do appreciate that they were both into each other and fairly well on the same page the whole time
Sign
Very strong, small cast of characters that are unique and delve into everyday problems of one deaf person; always good to see unique characteristics in yaoi. The chemistry between the lead couple is a little questionable and the first couple pages are seriously almost enough to ruin the entire tone, but the rest makes up for it Ch.105 update: Just couldn't not include rape, just once eh. Just one time, I'd like for "sex as punishment" not to show up in my manhwa Post-reading: It's good and solid! 105 really does throw a wrench into things - it makes the flinches and drawing away seem less like cute shy reactions and more like fear and rejection; apart from that one instance, it's a good story! The first plot kinda fizzles, but the cute and fun is pretty consistent throughout
Angel Buddy
So many classic tropes, I'm feeling nostalgic lol It's quiet light, in a lot of ways - the art's cute, the plot's a little meandering, the worldbuilding's here and there, but it's definitely enjoyable. I didn't expect Dojin's involvement, I'm a little dubious as to how much it actually adds but I'll save judgement until it's a little further along
Osananajimi Irony
Exactly what I was hoping for; two Slightly out of it people, very into each other. Their initial "meeting" (cough) really feels like a send up, somehow it's obvious how Yuuta feels even before the "rug pull," if you can even call it that
Color Recipe
The translation is a bit rough to start, but improved over time. Gods it's so deliciously fucked up; he hasn't learned a damn thing, only how to hide his tracks better. Seeing a properly smart yandere is so refreshing
Public Sex
It's cute, leaves me wanting more! It's a shame Sei's perspective seems so innocent to begin with, his twist feels a bit unearned
I Wanna Die Before I'm 30
It's cute :) A little predictable, a little silly, a little rushed, but cute overall
