I get that a lot of people hate this but hear me out. The ML isn't a wise person and is an asshole, the FL is a damsel in distress(can't help it she's so pitiful). She must be so strong to live despite only being manipulated and receiving hate. But I'm just very curious to know what happens to the ML when the misunderstandings are solved.
