For some reason, I absolutely loved this. Though I was so heartbroken and disappointed when all those side characters that I hoped would live had died, I came to terms with it since there's no helping it as they're two enemy countries. Still I wish they all lived and the commander and his vice paired up and had a HE. Too bad about that but the whole plot was so interesting. Loved the main cp. The arc where the ML pretended to be blind was wholesome

Believe me or not, despite the heart mincing angst, their relationship is one for the history books. The plot is very dense, intricate and absolutely enjoyable to the core. But it's not for the sensitive ones. It's too heart breaking. Read at your own discretion. I ask yall to read the novel.

Okay I personally like the romance and their relationship but none of them have good morals. They're only good to e/o. The MC wasn't ever good to his concubines in his past life but gets angry when they leave him? What a selfish man. This manhua has some twisted morals
