In depth story analysis (contains spoilers!) CW: Abuse, Manipulation, Dub-con, pseudo(?)... incest?? (Be warned, also not sure if thats his real brother or not but since theyre both a family by law, i assume i need to add it in as a warning.) . . I've always been curious about the title, i thought it has something to do about the saying 3 views. No, the title of this webtoon is talking about you, the reader. You're the third perspective. Most of the time, abuse survivors/victims aren't able to see what abuse does to them, and they always blame themselves for it thinking it's their fault for being so gullible, naive, etc. I like to interpret this whole webtoon as the author's way of showing this kind of situation in an outsider's perspective. What did you feel when the protagonist kept on blaming himself when it was clear the people, specifically his family, were the ones treating him badly? The author might just want you to know that whatever you felt for the protagonist is what you should be feeling for yourself, if you've also been abused. I felt like this webtoon was a very specific message for people going the somewhat same thing, those ridden with guilt. The s3x part i'm sure is only there to gain more readers, but it IS true some survivors or those being abused use things such as s3x, dr*gs and the likes as a form of coping mechanism or escapism, or etc. But it still is a reflection on how the abused sees themselves, and why they go lengths to "ruin" or "destroy" themselves, as the protagonist did. I know the ending seems rushed or inconclusive, but I'd like to think this is the author's way of saying that this is how the story ends for the protagonist. It's open-ended as if asking you, "what about you? what do you think about his story? what about YOUR story? the protag's journey is finished, now it's your turn. How will YOU end yours?" The protagonist has good head on his shoulders. As victims of abuse, sometimes it's difficult to discern whether it's love, or a dependency of some kind due to being denied love for so long. It's important not to get lost which is which, and this was presented to us as the difference between MC and the doctor's other partners. I hope to the people reading this to stay safe out there, and hopefully the webtoon can help give insight that there are bad people out there who will use you. But don't lose hope, as we can see from MC's friend. There will be someone out there who will genuinely just care about you the way his friend did for him, and i'm sure this is the author's way of hoping u find those kind of people instead. Whether the ending of this story was negative or positive, only you can tell. Because his story, is a mirror of your own story. Now it's up to u on what u decide to do next.
