Royal Servant
At first, the plot didn't make much sense. It kept jumping around and was hard to keep up with especially when there would be a random time skip. However, as the story continued the plot became pretty decent. However, the love interest was a huge asshole and raped the main character in the first few chapters. I don't approve of that in stories but I'm glad their relationship developed into being mutual and consenting. I liked the side couple though, and the character logan. I just wish there were more mlm out there that lacked these rapey scenes.
Dear Door
I heard so many good things about Dear Door and was disappointed to find it not to my liking. Many people praise Dear Door so I might be in the minority, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get into it or enjoy the story. Plus I feel many flaws in the story weren't needed. Disliked: The plot was confusing, and some of the lore didn't make sense, causing me to DNF halfway through. Another thing I didn't like was that the main couple had sex at the most random and inappropriate times. It felt like a handful of sex scenes were added just for the hell of it. I'm not opposed to sex being added just for the entertainment value, but it has to make sense. Sometimes there are such things as too much smut. Lastly, all the rape/sexual assault scenes are extremely unneeded and, unfortunately, it is the norm for many manhuas/manhwas. Nothing makes me drop a webcomic faster than romanticized sexual abuse. Liked: The only thing I really liked about Dear Door was the main couple. They were healthy, adorable and lacked toxicity, which can be hard to find in Bl webcomics. However, it's unfortunate that the author, Pluto, had to involve many sexual assault scenes. The lack of a straightforward wouldn't have bothered me as much. If it had just been the main couple, maybe I could have gotten through this. Final Rating: 2.5/5
