What Does The Fox Say?
You can't claim to love yuri if you don't know about WDTFS. Literally one of the OGs of yuri, top tier, up there with Shoujo Sect, Girl Friends, and any other mainstream yuri you can think of. I reread this manhwa like twice a year. Loved all the characters, the story is, by far, one of the best stories in yuri to date (and that's out of the hundreds of yuris I've already read) there's drama, romance, tragedy, comedy, literally everything. If you make it through the first few chapters and don't find this manhwa or the characters somewhat interesting, you're probably a buzzkill. There isn't a yuri lover alive who can say they don't like this manhwa. Please read it if you haven't yet, you won't regret it
Maka Maka
I think I'll always rate anything from this artist with high marks but Maka Maka was one of the OG yuris for me. Like, the yuri that started my obsession. If you haven't heard of Maka Maka or the artist, you've been missing out. Beautiful full color manga on each page and incredible (yet simple and sweet) storytelling. It really focuses in on how platonic relationships can still be just platonic even if there are sexual activities involved. The artist seems to try to makes the readers understand how much Nene and Jun (the two main protagonists) love one another. A love that goes deeper than friendship and even partnership. A very simple and easy read, smut in (almost) every chapter so be mindful where you read it. It'll be one for the books, one of those yuris you'll keep revisiting throughout the years because the artwork and the story are just that beautiful. This is a must read for yuri lovers.
A Pervert's Daily Life
I don't typically read these types of manhua, but I really enjoyed this. What got me reading was the character design, Seyoung was so pretty to me to the point where I found myself screenshotting frames of her face just to draw later. I loved everything about her, I even based a character from my yuri off of her design and personality. The story was really interesting and something you don't see much of when a young man is involved, the title had me thinking immediately that Jinwoo was the protagonist and we'd be seeing the story revolved around him and his perverted tendencies, it caught me off guard when the cute, small, quiet girl was actually the pervert. Outside the art alone, the scenes were beautiful and well written, my only critique would be the embarrassingly long amount of time it took for them to get together. They should have guessed that the other person liked them (especially considering they liked enough to raw dog) and I do not like tropes where no one is even trying to ask the other out with various signs showing that they're interested. I get it makes for a suspenseful story they're able to drag out longer, but it's so very frustrating.
Breath Supreme Yuri Fetish Anthology
I don't tend to leave comments on anthologies because of the different variations of stories, however I wanted to leave a few words, at the very least. I've read many anthologies, almost all of them I've fully enjoyed every chapter of. When it comes to this one... well... I don't think the chapters really hit the nail on the head with the title. For a yuri fetish anthology, I probably misunderstood the chapters, but none of them seemed to have anything to do with fetishes. Most of them seemed more like hidden romance or "finally, some alone time" kinda trope. With that being said, I still gave it 4 stars because I loved all of the authors who worked on this, and I actually really enjoyed their stories.
Kissing Lilies
Wish I could have seen more of this, it's cute, simple, funny, and not too steamy, which is the perfect combination for yuri to me. I could see this becoming a series, I'd love to see more from this couple, I love the idea of a clueless, slow starting Dom and an eager shy Sub trying to throw hints at her lol.
Love is fantasy! ~The Queen~
I gotta say, this was an interesting read. Not entirely a big fan of omegaverse style manhua/manhwas, but this one was kinda nice to read. Let me start off by saying how much I LOVE Mujin and I wish he could have gotten some sort of ending where he was happy as well, I even would have settled for a poly relationship amongst the three just to see him happy. I hope there is a spinoff of the spinoff in the future with Mujin finding some happiness outside of theirs. Now, as far as Do-gyeom is concerned... I don't know... I definitely didn't dislike her character, but she wasn't entirely one of my favorites either? I love a good complex female character, but I couldn't bring myself to sympathize with her. And poor, sweet Seung-ah... my precious baby, he didn't deserve anything he was put through, I don't care, I will fight tooth and nail for him! Overall, the story was fantastic. It was suspenseful, complex, interesting, heartfelt, and so many other things. It was truly a good read for it to have been a side story. Regardless, the dreaded 4 star was because of how Mujins story ended. Justice for my man Mujin.
