Hmm... I'm a little indifferent when it came to this. The main reason I like yuri (opposed to yaoi) is because it doesn't involve a lot of that ræpe genre bullcrap in order to make the characters fit each other, which, I guess this one didn't really have ræpe? Maybe? I'm not entirely sure to be honest lol. If it was consensual, then I can see myself giving this a better rating. But outside the "romance", this felt to quick to be just 6 chapters. I could be wrong though, but the last chapter did say 'The End' so who knows. This had the potential to be really good had it continued, like, I can see these two characters both escaping their shitty life in order to find happiness with each other while trying to lay low. I'm just not vibing with the ending. Seems... incomplete. But, like I mentioned I'm not sure if this is the end, so I guess we'll just have to wait in see. With more chapters explaining the characters, what's going on, and maybe a slightly better translation, I may just go back and give this one a higher rating. All-in-all, definitely wasn't a horrible read, just too many questions and not enough answers for me.

The Name of my Feelings

Complete | Kang unnie | 2022 released

A well written yuri about a younger sister who is secretly in love with her older sister. While I can't say the premise of the story was anything original, it definitely was an entertaining read. I was a bit disappointed with how the ending played out though because I never really bought that sleeping cliché where they think they're still dreaming so they do whatever they want to the S/O. Sorry, regardless of how tired someone is, that's just not believable and makes for lazy writing, I believe. Still though, I had to give it 5 stars, maybe out of favoritism, because I really love this author and all of their works and despite the clichés, this still was a great read and a wonderfully written oneshot. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for something quick and spicy to read.

Ring my Bell

Complete | Yeongol | 2000 released

Not gonna lie, I really slept on this manhwa. I remember reading 2 or 3 chapters years ago and couldn't make it any farther because I didn't think the story was that interesting but I'm glad I gave it another change (even if it was years late). It's not that I thought the story was boring or anything, just that there wasn't much excitement that made me want to keep reading, but as I kept clicking chapter after chapter, I noticed how wholesome their story was. Outside of the drama or conflict, this felt like a genuine, real, and relatable story about two women who really love one another. These characters felt real, which is something I don't say frequently when I'm reading webtoons. Although it does start off a little slow and irratic, watching the progression and passion of the two main characters easily made this series a top 10 for me. Definitely consider giving it a read if you like simple and sweet stories.

I Adore you, Teacher

Complete | | 2022 released

Not vibing with the story one bit. Like always, the art is breathtaking, but this story was... everywhere? I don't even really know how to articulate what I thought about it. I did want to like Seonmin, and I did in the beginning, but pitied her towards the end. The professor is just straight garbage for reasons outside of cheating and manipulation, and I don't even know where to begin with Yujin. Like, all the characters were bad and the ending was horrible. I'm so surprised too because this authors other works are pretty decent, not sure what happened here. Drama be dammed, this was hardly entertaining to read, it just just an amalgamation of sex scenes and nonsense. To give such a complex plot to characters we know little to nothing about and no time to even developed a connection with was bound to end bad, but this read was an all time low for me sadly. There's no one to feel sorry for, no one to be happy for, no one to root for, no end goal or anything and I hate that Yujin still ended up getting her happy ending. I hate that I couldn't enjoy this read, but even so, I still gave it 3 stars just because I love literally every other manhwa the author has made, this one just didn't sit right with me.

Love is fantasy! ~The Queen~

Complete | Fargo | 2000 released

I gotta say, this was an interesting read. Not entirely a big fan of omegaverse style manhua/manhwas, but this one was kinda nice to read. Let me start off by saying how much I LOVE Mujin and I wish he could have gotten some sort of ending where he was happy as well, I even would have settled for a poly relationship amongst the three just to see him happy. I hope there is a spinoff of the spinoff in the future with Mujin finding some happiness outside of theirs. Now, as far as Do-gyeom is concerned... I don't know... I definitely didn't dislike her character, but she wasn't entirely one of my favorites either? I love a good complex female character, but I couldn't bring myself to sympathize with her. And poor, sweet Seung-ah... my precious baby, he didn't deserve anything he was put through, I don't care, I will fight tooth and nail for him! Overall, the story was fantastic. It was suspenseful, complex, interesting, heartfelt, and so many other things. It was truly a good read for it to have been a side story. Regardless, the dreaded 4 star was because of how Mujins story ended. Justice for my man Mujin.
