OnlyMes's manga / #LOVED IT~!!! ^o^(5)

Moshi, Koi ga Mieta Nara

Ongoing | teren mikami,yuuki nanaji | 2019 released

I really enjoyed this story. It has the perfect amount of drama, fluff scenes, and character development. I'm a little disappointed with how it ended, not a bad ending at all- I just had such high hopes that all 3 would end up together but that's from my own shipping so it doesn't hinder the story whatsoever. Really cute series and easy to read, I'd love to pick up another manga with a similar plot like this one.

The Real Momoka

Ongoing | Arai Sumiko | 2000 released

I liked this. For one, I always enjoy this author because I really like their artwork, and for two, I freaking love bartender characters and I have no idea why! Also the bartender is so freaking cute! My only criticism is the "I have feelings for you but I won't be honest with you or with myself because I don't want to get hurt, but surprise! I've hurt us both in the process!" Cliché... it's been so outplayed and overdone that it makes all the stories with the same plot unrecognizable and they hardly stand out. Not to say that I don't enjoy that kind of chiche, it's just difficult to pull it off and have a good story, especially with a oneshot. All in all though it was a cute read.

If It Rains Next Week

Complete | Murasakino | 2019 released

I finally realized why this artwork felt so comforting to me, it's been so long since I've read work by this author. I had forgotten all about them until a new manga just dropped by them and now I'm going back and rereading this again. Of all their short stories, this one is by far my favorite. The story is beautiful, the art is breathtaking, the scenery is phenomenally drawn, I felt like I was personally feeling the emotions of the characters while reading through this. I found myself in the process of holding back tears when I thought they wouldn't see each other again. Such an original story, I'm so disappointed that this was a one-shot, but for the author to convey the emotions, attraction, detachment, remorse, longing, regret, all of those feelings in a span of one chapter AND for it to make such a beautiful telling story from beginning to end deserves immense credit. I would love to see this story be turned into a full volume manga series, I would buy every single book.

Ai wa Hito o Yowakusururashi

Complete | murasakino | 2019 released

Cute and easy to read one-shot, the characters as so nicely drawn and I love the color scheme used for the lighting. The story showed all too real realities of where our minds can take us when we're with someone we love. I really love the fact too that the lighter haired girl never gave any thought to what's real or what's fake until the dark haired girl asked her why she wasn't afraid because even if what they're watching is fiction, it can resonate with you and make you think about the people in your reality. It wasn't scary for the lighter haired girl until she saw her lover in that situation, that was so beautiful. Always love the storytelling from this authors short stories, they're always done so well. Definitely a simple, yet good read that surprisingly pulls on your heart strings just a tad bit at the end.

Kill Switch

Complete | 1172 | 2000 released

I liked the story and the art, it had a great original plot that you don't see in most yuris. Loved Jeongwon's character. The design to the personality, she gave my brain happy chemicals every time I saw her. Jisoo was such a great match for her, their dynamic went so well together, from the very beginning I felt like they were the perfect match. Hwayeon, however... well, I guess her character was made specifically for her to be disliked, and that's understandable. She was a crooked character from the start who only really ever cared for herself and what other people could provide for her. When Jeongwon started getting attracted to Jisoo, I don't believe Hwayeon's reaction came from genuine concern or fear of losing a friend/ fuck buddy. I think she knew she was going to lose a reliable source of money, living space, and attention. Most of the problems that Jisoo and Jeongwon faced before they even started dating was because of Hwayeon, so as a character who is suppose to be the antagonist, she was written really well, I just wish she had more of a redemption. Overall, this was a fantastic read, the characters are relatable and cute, the scenes are beautiful, the tone and mood of the NSFW scenes are done at a great pace (not too many, not too few), this one will be going to my list of rereads because I genuinely enjoyed nearly every chapter.
