Warikitta Kankei desukara.

Ongoing | Flowerchild | 2019 released

It's a very good read if you like tangled relationships. It's entertaining, the chapters suck you in, plus the artwork is really nice. There were just a few strings left untied regarding some side characters that I would have liked to see, but it didn't make the story bad.

Lily Marble

Complete | Kisugae | 2000 released

It started as yuri, but didn't end as yuri. It felt more like "a high school fling where the girls are dating girls because it's an all girls school" kinda cliché, especially considering how only 2 couples from the 4 or 5 we saw even got together. The story really throws you all over the place with all those different relationships (cause honestly it would have been perfect if it was just a story about Aya and Risa), but it wasn't so bad that it made me want to stop reading. Just made it seem like more of a waste if nothing actually came out of the progression chapters of some of the characters, I say this with even more gusto considering how a few of them ended up with boyfriends or husbands. That being said, it's a good story, but it will let you down in the end. Artwork is really nice and the overall storytelling wasn't bad in the slightest. The ending felt a little rushed, but it didn't leave any loose ends so I'm satisfied.

Beloved (jaeliu) Manhua

Complete | jaeliu | 2016 released

Like everyone else who's commented on this manhwa, absolutely drop dead gorgeous artwork. I mean stunningly beautiful. Love Dr. Wei and her character design. The only problem is the age gap. And it's not like one of those "Oh she's 18 and she's 26", nooo there's literally a 19 year gap with the youngest girl being 15. Now I understand in other places, 15 can be considered legal, and I have absolutely no problem at all with minor yuri, however I dip my feet out the pool when it stops being innocent and cute and starts to becomes sexual. Like, I don't want to see a grown woman doing it with a child, if you're into that, more power to you, but there should have been a clear warning on that before the read. Overall, i still really enjoyed the story, the pace, all the characters, and the theme. It's a good and quick read.

For Garbage

Ongoing | 김종건,Kim Jong Geon | 2000 released

I liked Jia's character. The design and personality went really well together, my only critique is how slow the story went from the point of revenge to it actually happening-which I get why the author did it that way, but I felt like the reveal should have been just as detailed. It felt just a little lackluster to have so many chapters dedicated on when, how, and why revenge would be happening only for it to be dwindle by a few chapters of it actually happening. Felt like that "sweet revenge dessert" wasn't even a main point of the story anymore to have it finish so quickly once her husband actually found out/ when unnie asked for the divorce. The ending felt rushed, but I'm still very excited for the side stories. I'd love to see more of the side characters and where their lives went after everything that's happened.

The Female Student and the Woman on the Same Bus

Ongoing | nagori yu | 2019 released

I gave this one 5 starts for its originality and storytelling. Very few words were exchanged between the protagonists but you didn't need words to understand the story at all. It's a very light, soft, and cute read. It's been so long since I've read something similar, and I loved every chapter. The artwork, along with the color scheme chosen for the pages, paints an incredible picture as to what time period they are in. Beautiful work, definitely wouldn't mind more chapters if the author ever felt the desire to draw more.

Be Careful, Onee-san.

Ongoing | sasuke | 2019 released

It's.... weird lmao! It's a super weird read, but I can appreciate the pacing and approach the author took for this. It takes courage to make a romance genre when there's such a significant age gap, but a working woman falling for a grade schooler was kind of extreme. Thankful that it stayed cute and pure throughout the entire story, but also a little jaded that yuris are able to get away with this sort of content. Like, nothing bad happened obviously, but thinking about double standards and if this was a working man falling in love with a elementary school little boy, that's strikingly alarming and for yuris to get away with it just has my mind going to dark places. Overall, I loved loved loved the artwork, loved the characters, and loved the storytelling, it was an amazing and beautiful read from beginning to end and would honestly like to see another bonus chapter or second series of them being older.

Easygoing Oyako

Ongoing | Taiyaki nakamura | 2019 released

At this point, I'm fully convinced the author wants to fuck their mother. Almost all their work revolvs around a daughter falling in love with her mother. That being said, I still gave this yuri 5 stars because outside of the incest (which, next to NTR, is a bottom tier genre for me personally) this manga was such a joy to read. I love to laugh so any comedy that's done right and actually makes me laugh out loud deserves high marks from me, regardless of the context. I loved the duos and the third wall breaks, I honestly don't think I would have had the stomach to read this if it wasn't for that. This artist has the potential to make some pretty phenomenal, stand-outish yuris if they ever let go of their mother complex. Overall, the story wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Every character is cute and I enjoyed scenes from every one of them, the progression (or lack of I guess) restores a little faith in me and is keeping me from dropping it- because the mother, for the most part, indulges in her daughters antics for the sake of wanting to be a better mother and not really understanding what all comes with that. Unlike their first story (1 x 1/2 My Half of You) where the mother from that story gave thought about dating and potentionally sleeping with her daughter. One other thing I don't quite like is the family tree. It seems Sayaka (the mother) married her first cousin on her dad's side and had a child (Yuuki) with him. Yeah, cultural differences, I understand, but was there any good reason to make that prominent not once, but twice so far? I hope this ends well, I like the story and the characters so far.

Teiji ni Agaretara

Ongoing | Inui ayu | 2000 released

This manga was really cute, but dang it, if I had a dollar for every time Kayoko or Kaori chose not to speak on their thoughts to the other person, I'd have enough money to buy the damn volume set. Literally every obstacle or challenge either of them faced in this manga was strictly because of a lack of communication. Talk to each other, let the other know how much you love them, let them know when something is troubling you, I never understood the whole "I'll just keep it to myself to avoid hurting you" cliché when that does literally more harm than good, especially if the other person has to find out about it indirectly. One or two times, I can relate, but EVERY time there was a conflict of interest it was because of a lack of communication. Other than that issue, I loved the story. I prefer yuris like these, ones that are cute and fluffy, ones that make my heart flutter. Kayoko was such an innocently cute character and Kaori was such a striking beauty. I really enjoyed reading through this, watching them grow and discover things about themselves and each other, and working through their problems. It tackled adult relationships so well, and I give it high marks for that. I was sad to see it end, but I'm so satisfied with the story's wrap up and conclusion. If there is a chance of this getting a side story, I would LOVE to see Kayoko and her friend Mahiro work through their problems they seem to have. I hate that it ended and we couldn't get closure from Mahiro, who's going to continue her life being in love with her friend who she knows she'll never have a chance with, let alone being able to truly confess to her out of fear of losing their friendship. She's been waiting by Kayokos side for years, I think she deserves happiness of her own so I'm very disappointed on where her story arch ended.
