Wow, I didn't know that the novel has a manhua adaptation! Well, the romance comes rlly quick, so it might seem unreal, but bear with it, plz. Some little spoil... ML (the 2nd brother) is absolutely a schemer. He can be obsessive and possessive sometimes, but there won't be scary stuff. ML is the one falling in love first, but MC is kinda easygoing, so they 'get along' really quickly. MC is not cold-blooded, but he is not that hot-blooded, either. All of the people who offended him, even the ML, will not be easily forgiven. (Fair and square. A hand for a hand, a life for a life, that kind of payback) MC is kinda pushover when facing pleasure, so ML makes use of it to, you know, bait MC into doing intimate stuff with him. MC's adopted father has four sons (Big bro, 2nd bro-AKA ML, 3rd bro, and 4th bro -AKA MC), but none of them is of his blood. ML knows that he isn't blood-related to the father sooner than any of the other. He neither directly caused MC's death, nor was completely innocent. (so there is some angst related to that, but gets resolved just fine) 3rd bro, well, just a supporting character. Pure(?) But sophisticated(?). A carefree womanizer sometimes does stupid things. The only one who's oblivious about the family fact. Finally, the victim-turn-offender male cousin, who was once a friend of MC (appeared later). In fact, he is the son of MC's adoptive father (Mr. Li)'s deceased wife with another man. (As it turns out, the adopted father was infertile.) And the lad (the cousin) was... ahem... s*xual abused, ever since he was a child, by the old man Li (who is crazy for his beloved wife). So the cousin kinda grows to become a madman, too. He is twisted, so he just wants to [] revenge on the Li house for some fun.
