This is what I got from it: they were in love for a long time, then that bad guys quirk made it so they could not look into each other’s eyes (the one they love) or they would forget each other forever. They chose to continue being together without looking each other in the eye. One day, there is this disaster or attack (something happened) and bakugo got really injured, he ran to or ran into kirishima, memories of him flashing through his mind, they met eyes and forgot each other..
