P: 勇気 (Yuuki): Hidoku Shinaide did NOT get off to a promising or very memorable start. The first volume seemed like an experiment about the dynamic between the two characters. But the second volume on burst onto the scene with heart-rendering questions essential to the targeted age of the audience - one's future and career. Struggling to balance themselves between work and play, Hidoku Shinaide makes a total 180 from its start as a rape tale, becoming a mutual, crazy-cute story of the trials of a relationship in a "vanilla (plain)" life. The message in this story was unexpectedly quite powerful, "Success is nothing when you have no one left to share it with." I thought that was a great way to legitimize the literary notion of "the power of love," when it is placed into a universe that couldn't be more practically or realistically oriented. I gave the story five stars because of its fantastic comeback after the first volume.
O: Tbh I agree, I initially dropped this because I don't really like rape, but it got better later on. However I don't think it's worth 5 stars. Dropped again, not interested.
