17 Sai no Hisoka na Yokujou
P: Asao wakes up and finds himself sleeping next to Takamura-sensei during the ski trip. Apparently he went back to the wrong room after going to the toilet in the middle of the night and fell asleep.. everything changes then O: It was hot, cute, but felt like it was lacking/disturbing
CASTLE MANGO
P: Yokozu, who’s homophobic lies to be in a relationship with Togame, an AV director, thinking he's protecting his little brother. But when he's gradually falling for the director the director sees him on a date (forced date) and pushes him away. Then there's a bunch of family drama and trouble with the family love hotel. O: Sorry I don’t like old guys. It was interesting though, lots of drama and it was cute. Beautiful art.
Tsumasaki Ni Kourozu
P: I Thot You Was a Toad [12961]: A young man works for a mycologist in the forests of Japan, studying fungi and mushrooms. Slowly, as the scientist opens his eyes to this new world and its astonishing beauty, the young man comes to love him. A schoolboy has an astonishing gift of inner sight which reveals a secret side of life when people go to sleep. A young man strikes up a friendship with a fox spirit. O: It was sweet… but it bothered me how the uke looked mildly girly.
Akudama
P: vignette00 [59728]: Two-story volume. The first is about a high school student who is blackmailed by a salaryman(?) over stealing pencil lead. If that sounds petty, that's because the characters are bare sketches, and the plot merely hints at development. The fundamental question of "do the characters fall in love?" is answered, but there's a family subplot for the student and a backstory for the O: Pfft.. I don’t really like this author’s writing+drawing style :P
Yasashiku Oshiete
P: I Thot You Was a Toad [12961]: Hikaru, the gormless older son, is envious of his brother, Hijiri, who seems to surpass him with accomplishments and relationships, without understanding the platonic nature of his friendship with a younger student. The art tends to make all the men look like boys. O: This is good, heartwarming, cute, sweet. I need more! This is so good! The uke is so possessive and there’s nice art. Rereading... I'm sorry man, the relationship/friendship/whatever it is btwn Hijiri and Sachio makes me feel slightly uncomfortable, especially since Sachio looks like a lil kid. It was kinda good, but it didn't WOW me tbh. I couldn't really feel for any of the characters especially Hikaru, he's confusing
Mayonaka no Oyatsu
11-09-17 | Kanda Neko | 2011 | completed P: Fuji Azuma is thrilled to have the chance to spend two whole weeks with his adorable 8-years-younger nephew Taira, head over heels for the kid and the proudest uncle there ever was. But when he learns at the end of their time together that Taira and his mother are moving overseas, he’s shocked to receive a parting kiss and a vow that Taira won’t return—”until I’m taller than you, Azuma-san.” Four years later…and Taira’s back to make good on his promise. O: It is cute, and funny but man the incest is WEIRD, and the art is hmmm. Azuma is so naive/pure.
Gelateria Supernova
P: KyoZaNa✿ [2337]: Keep going to the same gelato store lead the Uke Satoya to have sex every weekend with the guy whose name he doesn't even know.. Sounds like a weekly mysterious sex-friend! O: It’s interesting and isn't repulsive. However, I can't quite get into the story tbh. Like I don't feel much for them.
Velvet Kiss
P: Nitta Shin finds himself saddled with a sudden, crushing debt. His loan agent tells him he can escape repayment if he keeps a particular woman company. He gradually learns that this arrangement might not be as easy as he once thought. O: Not much plot, but later on becomes more interesting later on. Has intense ‘it’ scenes. MC girl is so cute looking, also Rumi but she’s such a slut.
Takaramono wa Hako no Naka
P: Tokura, an associate university professor and mystery novel writer, has a lovers relationship with Gin, the man he has yearned for, for a long time. However, it seems that Tokura is dealing with quite complicated feelings...? O: Hard to read through (cringe/painful), Tokura tries to make Gin hate him by tying his arms. I honestly don’t see how Tokura, who has long-hair is attractive.
